1- annoying alvin and the chipmunks “thunder” sound
2- more i listen to it, the more i dislike it
3- quite lazy chorus & bridge lyrics
its just really outclassed by the other evolve songs. well, basically all of the origins, smoke + mirrors, night visions, continued silence, its time, hell and silence, and imagine dragons songs. (2008 demos and speak to me not included, otherwise thunder is better than boots, all for you, pistol whip, and darkness.
my point (although not really my point) is people should listen to their eps (extended plays) from 2009-2011 & the more obscure ID songs from smoke + mirrors and evolve like not today, summer, it comes back to you, yesterday, and dancing in the dark.

I have not seen anybody talk in a deep analysis about this song. But my god is Imagine Dragons in-genius. This song has an up beat energetic tone which is a facade under the lyrics that Dan Reynolds write in this song. With advertisement/product placement and the weird funny 'Surfing the Internet' Vibe in the music video. It can easily redirect the lyrics to fit the theme of 'Wreck it Ralph: Breaks the Internet' but at the same time, when you take a closer look into the lyrics itself, There is subtle references to depression. what is impressive is to have such a powerful sad meaning of being a 'Zero' while at the same time disguising said song into the background of a kids movie and conveying a different appearance to younger audiences. Although songs with dark undertones is how Imagine Dragons produces their songs. For this one to slip into a kids film as well just shows how talented the band really is.
