It’s a sensitive topic, but at the end of the day it’s up to you whether you want to watch the show. History isn’t an argument. Funnily enough, out of everyone I know in real life and almost everyone I’ve seen online, it’s only white people who have a problem with blackface in this particular show. Who are you to say what a POC should be offended by? Who are you to say what they can/can’t watch? If a certain type of comedy offends you, don’t try and get it banned - nobody is forcing you to watch it, let everyone else enjoy it.

A “white” racist immigrations officer, a “brown” security worker, a “black” woman who sells coffee, a “white” creepy photographer (I put the colour of their skin in brackets, as the more important part is their nationality). Of course, the accents and charisma are taken to the extreme, but the intention is good, harmless humour. The series has no racist implications and Walliams and Lucas sure as hell aren’t racists either. Whilst I completely understand the awful use of blackface in films years ago, why should that be in any way related to this? If you don’t want to watch it, that’s fair enough, but why take it away from others who do want to watch it?
