I'm glad that Franzese didn't leave out mama Lunas in this vid. I have been to mama lunas and worked there so I love to hear it. Pizza is fire btw
Tony Soprano should have never blew up Artie's restaurant. They should have let Uncle June wack Malanga there, and business would have increased 500%
Hey take it easy! Artie loved that place
Artie should have pimped his wife, in the back room.. business would have increased 2000%

Iâm a woman but I totally agree with your assessment about ladies laughing at a restaurant. Itâs fine to have fun but why does it have to be so loud and disruptive? It makes the dining experience less enjoyable for others.
So trueeeee!
âRaoâs. Theyâre pretty stuck up. Nice people, but stuck up. Cash only.â The Mob still running that one đ
Oh yeah. The food is great though. Ive been there. I recommemd the chicken parmesan.
You kinda just wanna sit as professionally as possible and just listen to Michael like your in a actual meeting with him đ

Another great video. One thing I can't stand is when you're trying to get away from work for a few minutes and there's someone at the next table being loud on their phone the whole time
Hi Michael, I have been studying the mafia since I was 10 years old. I don't know how I found your channel but I am so grateful I did. You are an inspiration to many people. I check your channel every day. Most importantly, I am so blessed hearing your testimony about coming to Christ. I love how you stood up to Gravano and defended your faith. You are a blessing and you are living proof that no one is too far gone for redemption. God bless you my brother in Christ
I remember when I went to umbertos once, I want to own a restaurant in the future so I asked the manager how bad the Joey gallo hit affected the business, he looked at me like I just pissed in my wine glass Iâll never forget his face
I feel like my stomach gets whacked every time I go to Olive Garden
Lolol
They should wack the chef
Olive Garden is NOT Italian food. Not even in the same universe. Jesus.
@@bobm2878 This grandson of an Italian immigrant eat at Olive Garden once. I was less than pleased.đ
As someone who is a traveling construction worker, the one thing I love about New York is I donât think I ever had a bad slice at any restaurant or Pizzeria. My blue collar meal in NY is a slice and a piece of cheese cake.
Just stay away from windows Capeché??
My first time in the Big Apple over ten years ago, I learned that even Manhattan sleeps on a cold Sunday night. I walked around looking for a place to eat, and all I found was a pizzeria selling whatever cold slices were left in their display case, lol... I also learned there is a lot of mediocre cuisine in New York, along with the great food, but that it all costs a lot.
Ciaoooo. Buonasera a tutti. I canât believe that I missed you coming to bradford, england.
Plenty of local good quality Italian places to eat in and around bradford. God bless.
Thanks for sharing the stories. Itâs insightful and informative to someone who also was once with God. God is good.
@@LateNightCable Tbh, my experience with dining in New York is that it isn't really anymore expensive than any other major city. Honestly, I was kind of surprised to find this but the restaurants in Manhattan charge about the same as what the restaurants in Seattle or Portland charge, and actually a little bit less than the restaurants in Atlanta.
@@LateNightCable that's the time of day imo to just walk around and check out things. It would seem much more peaceful
Chicago has so many great restaurants. You mentioned some good ones. Thank you.
I dont think its a bad thing to plug your own brand, especially if you've been working on it and have been putting in effort to create something you're proud of, keep doing you Michael.

You are the man. Not only do you look 50 youâre sharper than a 30 year old with your remarks about voting and the police. Thank you, sir! I have a lot of respect for you
Big Paulâs murder at Sparks will always come to mind
good steaks ive eaten there a few times...
My first trip to New York I made a reservation at Sparks and it was good. I 100% agree with you about women in a restaurant. I've asked to be moved when a table of women can't stop cackling. Afterwards the server said. "I don't blame you for wanting to move."

Curious that Real mob hits in restaurants are much more brutal and less dramatic than what we usually see in movies...Loved the video Michael!

Thank you Mr. Franzese for this channel. Glad you made it out of the life, and providing us with some really awesome history! Much love!
It's so ironic that many criminals like you, after committing horrific crimes, conveniently turn to God and religion. I still would never want to be alone in an alley with you. And when you were with the Mafia, didn't you take an oath to keep your mouth shut??? Now you're singing more than an opera singer. Obviously your word is no good.
Ainât it wild that this dude is a sociopathic, murderer and financial criminal who took money out of the pockets of working men and women? I am not complaining. Iâm fascinated by how likeable and cool this dude is. It just makes you realize HOW he was able to become boss and then slide thru. The dude is just a boss
I went to Sparks with my 2 boys about 10 years ago. Just out sightseeing and popped in for a lovely steak and a few beers. Great place
Mr. Franzese, thank you for all of your wisdom. You might not ever see this but I just wanted to let you know you have made such a positive difference in the world and I couldn't be any more grateful. Thank you đ

Another great video. Do you think you can do a video on some of the Long Island hot spots back in the day. The clubs and restaurants you used to frequent.
The most notorious I can come up with on the top of my head (before watching this video) are: The Masseria hit in Coney Island, the Joe Galo hit, the Castellano/Billoti (sparks steakhouse) hit and the Carmine Galante hit.
You are a certified nerd
Do you have to have a soul to haunt a place? imagine these restaurants being haunted by some guido ghosts, aye its peperino the poltergeist ova here.

Speaking of Carmine Galente -- I remember that when King Faisal of Saudi Arabia was assassinated, certain media reported that Carmine Galente attended his funeral. Was that true?
Hello Michael, Hope all is well with you and yours. Thank you for a great evening at Villa Park, it was fantastic. Hope you tour again
Great video as always. Iâve been to Raos once and it was an experience! My father and I went with his cousin ( who was in the life) and his son. I was about 16-17 years old at the time and I remember the walls being covered in pictures of celebrities who have gone there. Great times
Omg I love your honest opinion on so many things. Yes, girls laughing and screaming drives me up a wall. Can't tell you how many dinners and events I've attended absolutely ruined by them. I've never even known a girl like this. It's sad and ridiculous.
"...Absolutely ruined...!", surely a little bit hyperbolic with that sentiment there...or are you really as humourless and easily annoyed and quick to anger as this makes it appear? Or would screams of pain, be they from fanatical self-flagellaton or emitted by damned souls tormented forever in a hell of the vile death-cult of christism where an un-dead Jewish zombie is the object of veneration for no adequately explored reason, would THOSE be more to your tastes and approval, or what?

Mr. Franzese. Hello and greetings from central N.J. Being in my 50's,I remember reading articles about you in "The Star Ledger", USA Today, and several national magazines back in the 80's. Excellent stuff Michael. Glad you're enjoying your stay, this side of the pond. Really enjoyed listening to this. Bless up đ
The most famous ones are Carmine Galante and Joey Gallo. That infamous pic of Galanteâs face clenching a cigar with a bullet riddled face just give you the chills.
I heard that the cigar was put INTO his mouth by the photographer though maybe not but it's hard to believe a cigar wouldn't tumble out really easy.

I respect you and love your true stories. Keep it rockingâŠ..Patriarca organization ate at Capricios in Providence. Met a few of them. I tutored underbosses son at Bryant. My fiancĂ© and I went to sparks for our anniversary and it was nothing short of amazing. The owner even gave us a tour of the place and showed us what happened that night in 1985. He even showed us the table gotti and Sammy used to sit and said the next time we come in he would seat us there. Probably the best steak and best customer service Iâve ever experienced

Iâm from Liverpool and went to Michaelâs event here. I stayed in the hotel the event was in. We just so happened to be checking in the same time as Michael, got to speak and get a picture with him. Then got to meet him again at the event and got a signed photo with him. Then the next day, I saw him recording that video he showed at the start of him outside the cavern and got to speak to him again and got another photo. He even remembered me and commented on how we stayed in the same hotel. He was such a nice humble man. Best two days ever getting to meet him so many times, he even went and trained in my friends gym so heâs serious about his excercise đ€Ł. Thanks again for a great two days Michael đ
I used to go the Bamonte's in Brooklyn when I lived in Greenpoint. Fantastic old school Italian family restaurant. I'd occasionally see double-parked Town cars outside.

One of my best friends is a retired NYPD Lt. He took a few of us to Sparks one last time a few weeks before they closed. Was Great !

Umbertos was great. Iâd get the scungili fra diavolo with pepper biscotti. Iâve been to Raos a couple of times too. Back when the old lady used to bring cheesecake. Pellegrino died of throat cancer. Too many cigars. Bo Dietl always there
When our team all retired after 25 years. Being together. Still seeing each other often brings back memories.

Thoroughly enjoyed helping out Glasgow.
Hope to see you in Manchester next year!
This video was by far the creepiest and funniest (though in a sick way, like getting shot in the back for laughing too hard in a restaurant) video that you have ever made Mr. Francese. I listened to it at 75% speed and laughed all of the way through!
Your history and experience with Sharpton would be a great story. Do it.
How did you omit the hit on Carmine Galante in Joe and Mary's Italian-American Restaurant in Brooklyn? The image of Galante's body sprawled in the floor with a cigar still in his mouth is one of the most famous of all crime photographs.
Love your videos so much Mr Franzese your my favorite, when are you giving shows in Amsterdam or Europe love to meet you in person

Hi Michael! Congratulations on your wines. Listening to this video makes me reconsider the expression, âFast food take-out.â I truly enjoy the historical anecdotes. Lovely video!
When I was very young, my father explained to me that "everything in life -- at its basest level -- is about separating you from your money." I can see that whether it was in the mob life or the post-mob life, you learned that lesson as well.

My Great Grandpa immigrated from Italy in the early 1900's . I was raised in a small town that was predominantly Italians, mostly from Northern Italy around Modena. This video explains a lot. Even being only 1/8 Italian it seems a lot of the attitude about food comes through.
I've been to Sparks quite a few times. My brother used to live close by. Awesome restaurant. We took my mom and dad there for their 40th anniversary. We put them in the Waldorf for the weekend. What a great memory.
Back in the '80s and early '90s, I remember eating at Teresa and Mimmo's in Little Italy, NY. I don't believe it exists anymore. Kind of a NY-style, rough-and-tumble place, but the food was spectacular. They had a signed picture of Gotti hanging on the wall. If you didn't tip the waiters enough, they would actually follow you outside and give you hell in Italian. Che disgrazia!
Well Mr. Franzese, though Italian food is my favorite and i could never give it up, i guess i'll feel pretty safe at in & out or mcdonald's lol.
True story i used to work for a high end mover with only rich clients, so one day were delivering and installing a flat screen tv in lee iacoccas bedroom at his mansion.....this was before hardly anyone had these type of tv's.

OMG, I can relate to the restaurant story about the table of women just laughing so damn loud that itâs difficult for your dinner companion and me to hear each other. So rude and obnoxious. It happened last night at an Italian restaurant here in Seattle. Just gawd-awful.
The Willie Moretti hit in Cliffside Park, NJ at Joeâs Elbow Room on October 4, 1951 was one of the most sensational killings.
Dante and Luigiâs in Philly is one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. They have great food. I would travel from Wilmington Delaware to eat there. I knew all about it being a mob place too lol

Michael another mention would have been The 99 Restaurant in Charleston, Mass. The site where Bobby Luisi's father, brother, cousin, and friend were killed during a conversation with a rival faction. In the middle of the day while the restaurant was packed with people.
I had a customer from Los Angelos who visited our plant in PA annually, always planned around the semi-finals of the US Open in the Meadowlands. Every year they wanted to make sure we visited Sparks Steak House in Manhattan, NYC. If I recall correctly, that's where Paul Castellano & an associated was killed. Anyway, never had a bad meal when we went there.

There's a steak restaurant here in Phoenix that opened in 1950 and has been frequented by many mob guys and entertainers and it's called Durants on Central Ave. It was originally owned by Jack Durant, who passed away many years ago but it's still operating.
