Hopefully has some good info for you! As it turns out, even a "starter" template has quite a bit in it!

    Hi sir
I want to ask you some questions :
1 - should we draw the conduits in our model. Drawing conduits takes long time and needs coordination.
2 - the connection between a junction box and light fixture, we use flexible pipe to model this connection. The problem is when we move these fixtures, we need to move all the pipes with them because there is no connection between the pipe and the lighting fixture.
I hope you get my point.

Hey there! First of all, whether you model conduits at all, and what sizes you model, comes down to the agreement you make with your client, known typically as the LOD or Level of Development/Design. For us, it's typically just conduits/cables 1-1/2" and larger, for space planning and coordination with arch, structure, and other trades. And that ties into your 2nd question - since the fixture whips/feeds are smaller, we do not model them. They are only indicated with the "wiring" as arcs, which do luckily move with the fixtures (even if you have to adjust the arc's a bit). If for some reason you really need the smaller conduits modeled, then yes, it becomes very time consuming and tedious. At least that is our experience with our actual projects - hope it helps!
