Her laughing/singing is perfectly phrased, clearly enunciated, her voice soars to great heights easily . This is a brilliant rendition from whom I believe is the next queen of opera.

It's nuts--at moments, you hear hints of a very youthful, innocent voice. And then it suddenly opens up into this massive, robust, mature sound! It is always fascinating to see the voices that are hiding within people, especially when their speaking voices are so light.
Sung as it should be sung: light and feisty! Bravissimo!

Ja, lieber Thomas, auch ich kenne dieses Lied seit sehr, sehr vielen Jahrzehnten. Was Du in Deinem zweiten Satz sagst, dass kann ich nur dick unterstreichen. Der Grund dafür ist m. E. einfach Regulas Freude daran, dieses Lied mit ihrem ganzen Charme zu singen, es uns auf ihre persönliche angenehme Weise darzubieten. Es ist immer wieder eine Freude, ihre Stimme und ihren Anblick zu genießen.
Weniger Freude macht hier die Kameraarbeit.

What an absolutely charming performance! I played it for my little girl and she was delighted too. I would dearly love to see Ms. Muhlemann in a full opera. Such expression, and such technical accuracy! This just makes me so happy! :D
After attending Le Nozze di Figaro this May with Ms. Muhlemann as Susanna, I can only say, it is totally worth it!
In October 2021 I heard/saw Regula Muhlemann at the Vienna State Opera singing Susanna in the Marriage of Figaro, It was a most wonderful experience. She is clearly a world class Soprano.

@hail freedom And I think that there is a tiny bit of jealousy in your comment. Everything about a voice is artificial. In the end there are just three points that matter: hitting the notes, projecting the sound and how good a voice sounds. Everything else is BS, for audience at least.

Patricia is indeed a good singer and sounds brighter, but unlike Regula (for as far as I know), she has a smaller voice, has done hardly any operas and almost always preforms with a microphone.
Calling Regulas voice dark makes no sense either, ever heard Nadine Sierra or Anna Netrebko, that is dark. Also calling it artificial is BS. Everything about a voice is artificial. A singer should only worry about three things: hitting notes, projecting sound and protecting their voice. Every singer needs to decide for themselves how they do that. Everybody else should just enjoy or ignore.
And what you stated in your above comment is not true, it's your opinion. That is the best you can call something, when most experts disagree with you.
@@sebdhaese Just came from Patricia versions. She sings in a different league. Regula is fine singer but not a natural and lacks the x-factor that makes the difference. Even Carla Maffioletti and many others are better. If a big voice is of important Angela Meade is a better choice.
@@yogajedi3337 We'll see in 10 years. And why do you drag Angela Meade into this, she is a dramatic soprano. Regula and Patricia are coloraturas, that are very different kinds of sopranos. AND CARLA MAFFIOLETTI! are you insane! The only thing she does is tour with Andre Rieu, that is about as low as an operatic singer can fall.
@@sebdhaese Carla hasn't toured with Andre for many years. Thinks she performs in some obscure opera house somewhere. Andre is the biggest figure in the classical genre. He's a superstar, who survives on his own merits, with the world biggest private orchestra 50 men strong. Your argument was a big voice. Angela is a real opera house singer with a BIG, BIG voice. Regula is a mosquito in comparison.

Einfach wunderbar! Eine Interpretation mit Charme, grosser Kust, die Leichtigkeit ausdrückt, grossem Können, was die Technik angeht, die man aber nicht "sieht". Ehrlichkeit, weil diese wunderbare Künstlerin sich nicht verstellt: Sie ist die "Adele". Es ist keine Kopie einer grossen Sängerin aus der Vergangenheit, sondern es ist "die Regula Mühlemann", die SINGT. Ich hoffe, dass Frau Mühlemann so bleibt wie sie ist, auch in Ihrer Persönlichkeit und dann wird sie eine Weltkariere machen, aber nicht zu ihrem Selbstzweck, sondern zum Geschenk für alle Diejenigen, die Kunst und Musik lieben.
Wie wahr ! Und nicht nur das....
Diese Strauss Operette war (und ist) ja eine Persiflage - ein "Verriß" der "hohen" Wiener Gesellschaft mit ihren Dünkeln, Allüren und Intrigen auf Top-Niveau der leichten Muse. Irgendwo zwischen "harmlos" und "lebensgefährlich" für die Betroffenen der "soap-opera" in der Operette und wohl auch im wirklichen Leben. In diesem Plot treibt "Adele" gerade ihren Schabernack mit dem großbürgerlichen Lebemann Hr. von Eisenstein. Und genau das kommt bei Regula Mühlemann so wunderbar herüber. Man merkt direkt, wie sie sich im Rahmen des Auftritts über den "armen" Lebemann lustig macht - und genau DAS sollte die Essenz sein, was Strauss wohl mit der Arie im Sinne hatte.
Übrigens - Regula scheint ihren Job als Berufung zu begreifen - anders könnte ich mir Ihre Anstrengungen die "perfekte Adele" darzustellen nicht erklären. Auf CZcams kann man einen Eindruck davon bekommen - siehe Meisterklasse mit Dame Kiri Te Kanawa mit Regula Mühlemann. Jener Clip ist sehr aufschlußreich und hat mir einen Eindruck vermittelt, wie viel harte Arbeit hinter einer erstklassigen Operetten-Performance steckt.

Great performance from an outstanding and beautiful coloratura soprano and a lovely smile to boot. Try Carla Maffioletti's rendition as well. Exceptional, particularly the final G#6 note!
The couplet is in G major so a G# at the end certainly would be exceptional!

Benedetta. Totally agree. Regula and Carla Maffioletti perform the best renditions and are both superb coloratura sopranos.
I, for one am glad that I am not compelled to rank these singers, because I love both Regula and Patka. Patka's voice has a rare warmth and sweetness (remember also, that she was not quite eighteen years old at the time of the performance of which you write), where as one thing Regula does so well is ACT with her voice; to tell a story not just with the lyrics, but with intonation and accent. We, as fans of classical singing, are blessed with performers with a variety of strengths; and I thank God that there are several and varied versions of excellence.

Patrica and Carla Mafioletti sings and acts this song much better. Also , for me, in general I think Reguala voice sound like it's stuck down in her throat and never flies.
@@yogajedi3337 I think that Regula's voice resembles a C or baroque natural trumpet, and is great for projection, but lacks sweetness of timbre. However, she seems almost always appears to be brimming with joy, which gives her a really appealing personality.

@@yogajedi3337 Really? I look at some of her recorded work for Deutsche Gramophone, and her as a featured soloist in the annual Advent Concert from the Frauenchirche in Dresden, and conclude that she is already quite successful.
@@ptatmsu Only quite successful within in her genre. Getting successful also beyond the classical/opera audience is much more difficult and requires more natural talent. Just a trained voice, as Regulas, isn't enough. Patricia now on her FB entitles her as an Opera Singer. She now is launched as "Patricia The Opera Star" when her promoter announces upcoming concerts.
