Honestly Qudenos might be the least evil red dragon I've ever seen....which I know isn't saying much, considering the fact that being evil is the very nature of all chromatic dragons. But the fact that a red dragon of all dragons would proclaim loyalty to anyone but themselves, and the fact he specifically says "at the sound of OUR roar" instead of "MY roar"?..... That right there makes Qudenos something special.
Dragons are inherently magical creatures, and are capable of polymorphing into just about anything they wish. And the older they become, the more powerful their magic becomes as well.
Qudenos is such a nice guy considering your first interaction with him is burning a couple of flaming fists to death.
As far as red dragons go, he is downright cordial.
