    There is a difference between a Group Hug and a Group Hug built RIGHT. When a group hug is built right, you CHOOSE to whom, when and where you distribute resources, always having an end game. A built-right group hug is one of the most fun decks a playgroup can hope for.
    Also, I most definetely had a Benevolent Offering in my hand ready to cast it at the beginning of my upkeep, so killing me with combat dmg before my turn came was indeed the right option. :)

      Absolutely! I think group hug, as an archetype, is one of the HARDEST to build correctly, much less play! It demands that you have a keen sense of politics and be able to navigate the complexities of the interpersonal interactions that are critical to a game of commander. It's not an archetype that I would recommend to anyone except the very best social players.
