ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ ಪಾರ್ವತಿಯ ನಾಥ ಶರಣೆಂಬೆ |
ವಾಣಿ ಭಾರತಿಯ ಗಜಮುಖನ ಬಲಗೊಂಬೆ ||
ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲಷ್ಟು ಪೇಳುವೆನು ಈ ಕಥೆಯ |
ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ ಗಜರಾಜಗೊಲಿದ ಸಂಗತಿಯ || ೧ ||
ಛಪ್ಪನ್ನ ದೇಶ ದೇಶದ ರಾಯರೊಳಗೆ |
ಉತ್ತಮದ ದೇಶ ಗೌಳಾದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ||
ವಿಷ್ಣು ಭಕ್ತರೊಳು ಇಂದ್ರದ್ಯುಮ್ನ ನೃಪನು |
ಮತ್ತೆ ಭೂಸುರರ ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತಾನು || ೨ ||
ಚಿತ್ತದಲಿ ನರಹರಿಯ ನೆನೆದು ಚಿಂತಿಸುತ |
ಪುತ್ರಮಿತ್ರಾದಿ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ವರ್ಜಿಸುತ ||
ಧ್ಯಾನದಲಿ ನರಹರಿಯ ನೆನೆದು ಚಿಂತಿಸುತ |
ಆನೆಕುದುರೆಯ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸುತ್ತ || ೩ ||
ಸರ್ಪಶಯನನ ಧ್ಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ತಾನು |
ಮತ್ತೆ ತ್ರಿಕೂಟಪರ್ವತಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ||
ನಾಗಶಯನನ ಧ್ಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ತಾನು |
ಮೇರುಮಂದರದ ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ||೪ ||
ಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಿನ್ನರರು ಗಂಧರ್ವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾನ |
ಎದ್ದೆದ್ದು ಕುಣಿವ ಮೃಗಖಗಗಳ ಸೀಮ ||
ಎತ್ತ ನೋಡಲು ನಾಲ್ಕು ದೇಶ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣ |
ಸುತ್ತ ಸುವರ್ಣಮಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಧಾಮ || ೫ ||
ಹಲವು ನದಿ ಹಲವು ಕೊಳ ಹಲವು ಸರೋವರದಿ |
ಹಲವು ಪರಿ ಪುಷ್ಪಗಳು ಮೆರೆವ ಅಳಿಕುಲದಿ ||
ಚೆಲುವ ಗಂಧರ್ವ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಯರ ಸ್ಥಾನ |
ಕುಣಿವ ನವಿಲುಗಳ ಗಿಳಿಕೋಗಿಲೆಯ ಗಾನ || ೬ ||
ಬಂದು ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನವನು ಮಾಡಿದನು |
ಚಂದದಿಕ್ಕಿದನು ದ್ವಾದಶ ನಾಮಗಳನು ||
ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪದ್ಮ ಆಸನದಿ |
ಇಂದಿರಾಪತಿಯ ಮನದೊಳಗಿರಿಸಿ ತಾನು || ೭ ||
ಅಂದಾಗ ಆಯೆಡೆಗೆ ಅಗಸ್ತ್ಯಮುನಿ ಬಂದ |
ನಿಂದಿರ್ದು ವಂದನೆಯ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ||
ಎಂದೆನುತ ಮನದಿ ಕೋಪಿಸುತ ಶಾಪಿಸಿದ |
ಕುಂಜರದ ರೂಪಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸು ಹೋಗೆಂದ || ೮ ||
ತಪ್ಪುಂಟು ಮಹರ್ಷಿಯೆ ಕೇಳು ಬಿನ್ನಪವ |
ಉಚ್ಛಾಪ ಎಂದಿಗಾಗುವುದೆನುತ ಪೇಳು ||
ವಿಷ್ಣು ಚಕ್ರವು ಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೋಕುತಲೆ |
ಉಚ್ಛಾಪ ಅಂದಿಗಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ಪೇಳೆ ||
ವಿಷ್ಣು ಚಕ್ರವು ಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೋಕುತಲೆ |
ಉಚ್ಛಾಪ ಅಂದಿಗಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ಪೇಳೆ || ೯ ||
ಜ್ಞಾನವಡಗಿದವು ಅಜ್ಞಾನ ಆವರಿಸೆ |
ಸೂರ್ಯ ಮುಳುಗಿದನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯ ಮುಸುಕಂತೆ ||
ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ ಹಿಂದುಮುಂದಾಗ ಕುಳಿತಿರಲು |
ಅನೆಯಾದನು ನೃಪನು ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದಿ ತಾನು || ೧೦ ||
ಮೇರುಪರ್ವತ ಕದಲಿ ಇಳಿದು ಬರುವಂತೆ |
ಮೇಲುಮದ ಕೀಳು ಮದ ಸುರಿಯೆ ಕುಂಭದಲಿ |
ಕಾಡಾನೆ ಕರಿಯಾನೆ ಮರಿಯಾನೆ ಸಹಿತ |
ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಿ ||
ಕಾಡಾನೆಯೊಳಗ್ಹಲವು ಮಕ್ಕಳನೆ ಪಡೆದು |
ಕಾನನದೊಳಗೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತಾನು || ೧೧ ||
ಘಟ್ಟ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಹತ್ತುತಲಿ ಇಳಿಯುತಲಿ |
ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಹಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕಲ್ಮರವ ತುಳಿಯುತಲಿ ||
ದಟ್ಟಡವಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಸಂಚರವ ಮಾಡುತಲಿ |
ಬತ್ತಿದವು ಕೆರೆತೊರೆಯು ಬೇಸಗೆಯು ಬರಲು || ೧೨ ||
ಕಂಡಕಂಡಲ್ಲಿ ಏರುತಲಿ ಇಳಿಯುತಲಿ |
ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಗಿಡಮರವ ಮುರಿಯುತಲಿ ||
ತಂಡತಂಡದಲಿದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಸತಿ ಸುತರು |
ಬೆಂಡಾಗಿ ಹಸಿವು ತೃಷೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲಿದರು || ೧೩ ||
ಬಾಳೆ ಕಿತ್ತಳೆ ನಿಂಬೆ ಚೂತ ಮಾದಲವು
ದಾಳಿಂಬ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಖರ್ಜೂರ ಪೇರಳೆಯು ||
ಮೇಲಾದ ಫಲಪುಷ್ಪದಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿಸಲು |
ತಾವರೆ ಕೊಳವೊಂದ ಕಂಡ ಗಜರಾಜ || ೧೪ ||
ನವರತ್ನ ಮುತ್ತು ಮಾಣಿಕ್ಯ ಸೋಪಾನ |
ಕೊಳದ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಮುತ್ತಿ ಚಕ್ರವಾಕಗಳು ||
ನಲಿಯುತಿವೆ ಹಲುವ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು ಹಂಸಗಳು |
ಪರಿಮಳಿಸುವಾ ಕೊಳವೆ ಹೊಕ್ಕ ಗಜರಾಜ ||೧೫ ||
ಹೊಡೆಯುತಲಿ ಬಡೆಯುತಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುತಲಿ ನೀರ |
ಮಡುವಿನಲಿ ಚೆಲ್ಲುತಲಿ ನಲಿದುವೊಂದಾಗಿ ||
ಕಾಡಾನೆ ಕರಿಯಾನೆ ಮರಿಯಾನೆ ಸಹಿತ |
ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಲಿಂತು ಸಮ್ಭ್ರಮದಿ ಜಲದಿ || ೧೬ ||
ಮುನಿಯ ಶಾಪದಲೊಂದು ಮಕರಿ ಮಡುವಿನೊಳು |
ಹಲವುಕಾಲದಿ ತಪಿಸಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲು ||
ಮದಗಜವು ಪೊಕ್ಕು ಮಡುವನೆ ಕಲಕುತಿರಲು
ತಡೆಯದಾ ಮಕರಿ ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು ಕರಿಯ ಕಾಲು || ೧೭ ||
ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ನೋಡಿದನು ಸುತ್ತ ನೋಡಿದನು |
ಎತ್ತ ನೋಡಿದರೂ ಬಿಡದು ಆ ಮಕರಿ ಕಾಲು ||
ಎಳೆದೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡಿದನು ಸೆಳೆದೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡಿದನು |
ಹೇಗೆ ನೋಡಿದರು ಬಿಡದು ಆ ಮಕರಿ ಕಾಲು || ೧೮ ||
ತನ್ನ ಸತಿ ಸುತರೆಲ್ಲ ಸೆಳೆದರೊಂದಾಗಿ |
ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಲಾಗದೆಂದೆನುತ ತಿರುಗಿದರು |
ಎನ್ನ ಪುಣ್ಯದ ಫಲವು ಹೋಗಿ ನೀವೆಂದ |
ದುಮ್ಮಾನದಿಂದ ದೊರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರವರು || ೧೯ ||
ಕಚ್ಚುತಲಿ ಸೆಳೆಯುತಲಿ ಆ ಮಕರಿ ಕಾಲು |
ರಕ್ತಮಯವಾಗಿ ತುಂಬಿತು ಕೊಳದ ನೀರು |
ಅಕ್ಕಾಟ ಎನಗಿನ್ನು ಗತಿಯಾರು ಎನುತ

ಸಚ್ಚಿದಾನಂದ ಸರ್ವೇಶ್ವರನೆ ಕಾಯೋ ||
ಭಕ್ತವತ್ಸಲನೆ ಭವಭಂಜನನೆ ಕಾಯೋ |
ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತೇನೆ ಕರುಣಿಸಿ ಕರುಣಿ ಕಾಯೋ || ೨೧ ||
ಎಂಭತ್ತು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಲಕ್ಷ ಜೀವರಾಶಿಗಳ |
ಇಂಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸಲಹೋ ಜಗದೀಶ್ವರನೆ ಕಾಯೋ |
ಜಂಗಮ ಸ್ಥಾವರಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ |
ಎಂಬಂಥ ನೀ ಎನ್ನ ಬಂಧನವ ಬಿಡಿಸೊ || ೨೨ ||
ಈರೇಳು ಭುವನವನು ಹೃದಯದೊಳಗಿಟ್ಟೆ |
ಕಾದುಕೋ ಎಂದು ಗಜರಾಜ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟ |
ಅಹಾರ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಾವಿರ ವರುಷ|
ಬಹಳ ನೊದೆನೆ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಕಾಯೋ ಬಾಯೆಂದ || ೨೩ ||
ವೇದಗಳ ಕದ್ದುಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ದ ದಾನವನ |
ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ ಭೇಧಿಸಿದೆ ಅವನ ಛೇದಿಸಿದೆ ||
ಆದಿ ನಿಗಮವ ತಂದು ಕಮಲಜನಿಗಿತ್ತೆ |
ವೇದಾಂತವೇದ್ಯ ಮತ್ಸ್ಯವತಾರ ಶರಣು || ೨೪ ||
ಸುರಾಸುರರು ಪಾಲ್ಗಡಲ ಮಥಿಸುತಿರಲು |
ಮುರವೈರಿ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಹುರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು |
ಭರದಿ ಮಂದರಗಿರಿಯು ಇಳಿಯುತಿರೆ ಬಂದು |

ಸುರುಳಿ ಸುತ್ತಿದ ಭೂಮಿ ದಾಡೆಯಲಿ ತಂದೆ |
ದುರುಳ ಹಿರಣ್ಯಾಕ್ಷನ ಬೇಗದಲಿ ಕೊಂದೆ |
ಧರಣಿದೇವಿಯನು ಸದಮಲದೊಳು ಗೆದ್ದೆ |
ವರಹಾವತಾರ ಶ್ರೀಹರಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಶರಣು || ೨೬ ||
ಬಾಲಕನು ಕರೆಯಲಿಕೆ ಕಂಬದಲಿ ಬಂದೆ |
ಸೀಳಿ ರಕ್ಕಸನ ಕರುಳಿನ ಮಾಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದೆ ||
ಶೀಲ ಪ್ರಲ್ಹಾದನಿಗೆ ಅಭಯವನು ಇತ್ತೆ |

ರಕ್ತದಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನತರ್ಪಣವ ನೀ ಕೋಟ್ಟೆ
ಮತ್ತೆ ವೇದಾಂತ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ನೆರೆ ಓದಿ |
ವಿಪ್ರ ಭಾರ್ಗವರಾಮ ಹರಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಶರಣು || ೨೯ ||
ಹರನ ಬಿಲ್ಲನೆ ಮುರಿದು ಧರಣಿಜೆಯ ತಂದೆ |

ಬಿನ್ನಾಣದಿಂದ ತುರುಗವನೇರಿಕೊಂಡು ||
ಬನ್ನ ಪಡಿಸುತ ಹಲವು ಪಾತಕರ ಕೊಂದೆ |
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಸ್ವರೂಪ ಕಲ್ಕ್ಯವತಾರ ಶರಣು || ೩೩ ||
ಅರಿಯದಂತಿರದೆ ಅಚ್ಯುತ ರಕ್ಶಿಸೆನ್ನ |
ಮರೆತೆನೆಂದನದೆ ಮಾಧವ ರಕ್ಷಿಸೆನ್ನ ||
ಕೇಳೆನೆಂದೆನದೆ ಕೇಶವ ರಕ್ಷಿಸೆನ್ನ |
ಕಾಣಿನೆಂದೆನದೆ ಕರುಣಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸೆನ್ನ || ೩೪ ||
ಕಾಯಕಂಜದ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಹೋಗುತಿದೆ ಮುನ್ನ |
ಯಾವಾಗ ಹರಿಬಂದು ಕಾಯ್ವನೋ ಎನ್ನ |
ಚೀರಿದನು ಕೂಗಿ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟ ಗಜರಾಜ |
ದಾನವಾಂತಕನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿದನು || ೩೫ ||
ಕ್ಷೀರಾಬ್ಧಿಯಲಿ ವೈಕುಂಠ ನೆಲಸಿದ್ಧ |
ಶೇಷನಾ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರ್ದ ||
ಶ್ರೀಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಿಂದ ಒಪ್ಪಿರಲು |
ಆಲಯಿಸಿ ಕೇಳಿದನೆ ಅಜನನೆ ಅಜನ ಪೆತ್ತವನು || ೩೬ ||
ಶಂಕಚಕ್ರಗಳಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಶಂಕಿಸದೇ |
ಬಿಂಕದಿಂ ಗರುಡನ್ನ ಪಗಲೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳದೆ ||
ಪಂಕಜಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಕೂಡ ತಾನು ಉಸಿರಿಸದೆ ||
ಪಂಕಜನಾಭ ಬಂದನು ಕೊಳದ ಕಡೆಗೆ || ೩೭ ||
ಸಜ್ಜೆ ಉಪ್ಪರಿಗೆಯಿಂದಿಳಿದು ಬರುವಾಗ |
ವಜ್ರಕುಂಡಲ ಕದಪು ಹಾರಗಳು ಹೊಳೆಯೆ |
ಹೊದ್ದ ಪೀತಾಂಬರವು ನೆಲಕೆ ಅಲೆಯುತಲಿ |
ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದನು ದಯಾಸಮುದ್ರ ಬಂದಂತೆ || ೩೮ ||
ಸಿಂಧುಸುತೆ ಪತಿಯೆಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋದನೋ ಎನುತ |
ಮಂದಗಮನೆಯು ಬರಲು ಪುರವೆಲ್ಲ ತೆರಳೆ ||
ವಂದಿಸಿದ ಗರುಡ ಗಂಧರ್ವರೊಗ್ಗಿನಲಿ |
ಅಂದಾಗ ಶಂಖಚಕ್ರವು ಕೂಡಿ ಬರಲು || ೩೯ ||
ಹರಿಯು ಗರುಡನನೇರಿ ಕರಿಯತ್ತ ಬರಲು |
ಹರ ಪಾರ್ವತಿಯರು ನಂದಿಯನೇರಿಕೊಳುತ ||
ಶಿರದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಗಂಗೆ ತುಳುಕಾಡುತಿರಲು |

Narrator ( Sri Vadiraja YatigaLu) prays to Sri Vishnu Eeshwara and Sri Ganapati before reciting the Gajendra Moksha story to the best of his knowledge.
In a country called chappa, there was a place called gaula, which was one of the best kingdoms... The king of the place was a devotee of lord Vishnu, he was a very able king who looked after good people sages and cows and other animals very well.
He once renounced his kingdom and went to trikoota hills which is near to the meru mountain to do dhyana of Sri mahavishnu. This hill was place to the gandharvas, beautiful wild animals. The place was very large and flourished with gold and wealth and nature's beautiful.
The king bathed in the river near to the hill, chanted the dwadasha nama of SriHari. After doing sandhya Vandana he sat for dhyana of the lord by starting to picturise him in his mind.
Just when he was in deep dhyana, agastya Muni happened to pass by that place. The king didn't notice or acknowledge the presence of the Muni, the Muni found it disrespectful and angrily he cursed the king to be born as an elephant.
On realising this.. the king asked for forgiveness from the Muni and asked when he'll be free from elephant yoni and the curse... To which muni said that the sudarshana chakra of Vishnu will bring him salvation.
As evening was turning to night, the kings consciousness took the form of an elephant. How physical appearance changed to that of an elephant.
As he descended from the meru mountain, along with his family, very happily he used to roam around in the forest, in ignorance and displaying his strength by breaking trees and rocks.
One day as he was following his usual routine he felt thirsty... His mates were wandering in the nearby area. He found a pond filled with Lotus blooms to satisfy his thirst.
It was beautiful pond. He entered the pond spilled water around played there and was drinking water soon his mates entered the pond as well and they were all enjoying.
In this beautiful pond there was a gandharva in the form of a crocodile, he was cursed by a muni ages ago. He had been meditating in the pond for many years. Disturbed by the movement of the crazy elephant, the crocodile bit the cursed elephants leg very deeply.
The elephant tried to get away from the jaws and clasp of the crocodile by pulling and pushing but in vain. The other elephants also tried to pull him out but no use. On realising that it was failed efforts, they gave up and the elephant suggested them to go on their own as it was the result of his karma and he has to bear it. The other elephants in despair left the elephant on its own.
The crocodile wouldn't leave the foot of the elephant and soon the beautiful pond turned red because of the elephants blood.
When the pain started to become unbearable, the elephant screamed very loudly for help. Only the name of Achyutha Anantha SriHari came to his mind. He begged the mercy of the Daya samudra AadiMoola SriHari. Started praising the God.
The god who sustains the life of 84 lakh types of animal, the perfect one, please free me from this pain, said the elephant. The one who carries the 7 realms in his heart, please save me said the elephant. For 1000s of years the elephant remained without sleep and food praying to the lord and suffering through the pain.
The elephant then goes on to praise and pray to each of the 10 main avatars of lord Vishnu.
When the demon stole the vedas, then as matsya avatara god killed the demon to get back the vedas and saved the civilization.
When the demigods and demons were churning the ksheera samudra for various valuable goods and the elixir, to provide the base for the mandara mountain which acted as a churner, lord came to the rescue as a tortoise, the kurma avatara.
When Earth was rolled like a paper and was in deep ocean, lord came in as varaha swamy the boar and killed the demon hiranyaksha and lifted the earth from her miseries.
When a young boy called the god, he came from within the pillar and killed the demon hiranyakashyapu. Saved the boy prahlad in the form of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha.
As a young Brahmachari god came to get bhikshe from Bali chakravarti while he was doing a yagya to get the designation of Indra. To prevent the demons from ruling the heavens... The Bala brahmachari asked for 3 foot of land, and got the 3 worlds as his bhikshe. And this beautiful vamana trivikrama avatar of lord helped goddess ganga to descend to earth.
By ending the rule of evil kshatriya kings, by spreading the knowledge of the vedas and shastras lord established Dharma on earth as the Parashu Rama: Brahmana of Bhargava gotra.
The one who broke the bow of lord Shiva to win the daughter of mother earth Vaidehi for marriage. The one who was blessed by the rishis, who protected vibhishana and killed the adharmi Dashanana Ravana, the protector of the sajjanas: sri seethapati ramachandra.
Born in mathura, brought up in gokula amongst cowherds and enjoying the delicacies made from milk. Killed the demons, the pure Maya which runs this world in the form of both balarama and srikrishna, please accept my salutations said the elephant.
The enlightened Buddha, the delight of lord Shiva's eyes, who was known as ashwatta and who challenged the enraged lord shiva, is the 9th of the 10 main avatars of lord Vishnu.
To unite the disturbed varnaashrama at the end of Kali Yuga, who rode a horse and killed the adharmi very cleverly, in the avatar of brahmaswaroopa kalki avatara.
The elephant fervently and desperately begged Achyutha, madhava keshava to pay head to his prayers, as the elephant nears its death.
As soon as the prayers reached the ears of lord Vishnu, who is in ksheera Sagara resting on the shesha shayana, he immediately sat on his asana, without bothering to manifest his ayudha i.e. shankha chakra in his hands, he mounted his vehicle Garuda and speed towards the elephant crying in pain. Without even informing Sri Lakshmi, Padmanabha headed towards the pond.
As he arrived near the pond, lords golden and ratna ornaments shone brightly, the yellow clothing worn by lord seemed to be flowing across the sky because the speed at which God was arriving. Seemed as if an ocean of kindness and mercy was descending to earth.
In vaikuntha, Sri Lakshmi was wondering about the whereabouts of her swamy, she looked all around vaikuntha only to not find him.
the devatas and gandharvas arrived at the skies to see this beautiful form of lord SriHari, eventually the shankha and chakra appeared in lord hands and he approached the pond. Even Maheshwara and Uma hurriedly mounted on the vehicle nandi and came to witness this event from kailasa, the Ganga on Hara's jata seemed to brim due to Shiva's excitement.
Devarshi Brahmarshi Rajarshi and sanaka and brothers also arrived to witness lord's Leela.
Without any second thought, lord aimed the sudarshana at the jaws of the crocodile who had clasped the feet of one of the biggest devotees of the lord. The teeth of the crocodile broke due to sudarshana and it died. From its body emerged a gandharva, who was trapped in the crocodile's body because of a muni's curse. The king who was in the form of the elephant, also became free from curse. The kundala earrings kireeta or the crown and the tulasi mala appeared on the lord and his consort Sri Lakshmi stood beside him, as soon as king came back to his huma form. And the entire world started sinding the praises for lord Vishnu, the demigods showered Mandara flowers on the lord and gandharvas played the victory music.
Sri Vishnu and Sri Lakshmi mounted on the Garuda and took the king along to vaikuntha. And the gods and demigods returned to their respective abode on their vehicles after witnessing this beautiful event of lords karuna for his bhaktaganas.
Phalashruti: sajjanas who wakeup early and chant or listen to this story would be free from night mares bad dreams bad attitude and bad habits and addictions and the dhyana of this form of SriVishnu give a good title to the person and will be surrounded by good company and would attain moksha salvation.
Sri Vadiraja swamy asks the minds of people of the world to chant the glories of SriHari. Chant the glories of the lord who blessed dhruva raya, who protected prahlada, who saved Draupadi from shame, who is the knower of all the vedas in the form of hayagriva the horse headed god.
This translation is done to the best of my abilities and by the grace of SrimanNarayana. My humble efforts to help the non kannada speaking people to understand this beautiful poem.
