To repair, he'll be disassembling the seat bottoms from two separate assemblies and swapping out parts to make one good, presentable seat bottom. Hello Eric, I'm looking at removing my seat, sagging etc. I'm not sure why it couldn't be welded but I do not see why a steel crimp couldn't be added to connect the two pieces together. For extra measure, tack weld the crimp. I have yet to try such a thing should I come across the broken spring thing.
