- Who cleans a caravan awning? I'll tell you who, the person who's other half decides the caravan’s awning is dirty and needs a clean. I searched CZcams high and low and NOONE was telling me how to clean it. Never fear, I've rectified that little gap in the caravanning market :-)
Look out for the absolutely priceless advice I give when cleaning and awning, it's a real gamechanger. Would I lie or try to tempt you with clickbait, really. Who do you think I am, [INSERT NAME HERE]
I use Fenwicks Awning Cleaner and Fenwicks Awning Proofer. Other brands are available. Back in the day I owned a Triumph Stag and reproofed the canvas top using Fabsil, I believe you can also use this to reproof. You never know you might have some laying around in the shed or garage.

Great to see Mandy taking part again even if it's just catching you out polishing your ball! It's hard work cleaning an awning, having the space to do it is the first battle. I just give my ball a rub with some Ajax and a damp cloth. Comes up a treat and also removes any small rust patches. It even glistens in the sun light, a real bobby dazzler you might say!! I often see the admiring glances from fellow professional caravanners as they pass by.
*Caravan Vlogger, cleaning the "hitch ball" is what we call it over here. Never thought of that before. We do clean our awning also. You crack me up*

I got some or that awning cleaner a few years back, still got it LOL
We bought the same stuff to do ours but just never got round to it, plus it was always raining 🌧 nice haircut by the way 👍

I should do ours really, never cleaned it properly with a dedicated cleaner, did you get round to reproofing it? I'd be interested to know if it was easy enough to do and if it works 👍

I'm a bad caravanner , in 12 years I have never cleaned or reproofed our Isabella awning, and it's one with poles not a bouncy castle one. Shame on me 🤣

@@CaravanVlogger Buying an Isabella is something I never regretted, I have looked at blow up awnings but nothing comes close to the quality from what I have seen, certainly nothing in the price are I can afford now

When I watch these expert caravan vloggers, they get inside my head and I worry the wheels might fall off, or the tow ball might - actually Im not sure why I cleaned the tow ball, when I looked at it, it was dirty and it was making a creaking noise?. Of course then they say it shouldn't be too clean. FFS - I'll worry myself to death! Graham
Sorry graham but that looks like too much hard work for very little reward. When we go away I put the Awning up and enjoy , any marks I wipe away the best I can. 🤔
