Hi I use to fly fish the derwent in matlock I caught most of my trout on gh hare ear dry and also I find the knat dry does wonders on there my PB grayling of 3lb was caught on the black knatt at darlydale on the derwent

I noticed you used the wing here andy...Im thinking of buying a 9ft 4wt for my local rivers in Wales I'm thinking the wing would be an ideal dry/ nymph rod and save me buying 2 different fly rods. is this the case Andy? Is this rod good for both types of fishing? also could you tell me what line you paired your wing with pls 😊

it's a Vision belt, it's not bad, it's an aid rather than a full support but I do think it helps a bit yes. For 40 odd quid I think it's worth it
Hi Guys, I'm looking for a day ticket trout and grayling fly water. Either day ticket or an association, if it's reasonably priced. Can anyone suggest anything. South Yorks or Derbyshire, Derwent would be fine.

there's very little day ticket water in Derbyshire, but there are some cheaper tickets on the Dewent. Derby Railway AC is worth a look, is is Darley Dale fly Fishers.
I don't know too much about south Yorks, I don't spend much time up there!
