      It’s the greatest throw of all time regular season included. I’m not the only one who thinks that even Mahommes agrees. Besides it being 4th quarter in a SB, if u notice he looks off one safety to the right then throws it left with Wilfork in his face drops a dime into double coverage.

      Made the Pro Bowl 5x in 15 years? lol Shouldn't a 2x SB MVP make the Pro Bowl more than that? How many times has he been in league MVP consideration, instead of just one game? Zero. I don't think that "league MVP" and "Eli" have even been in the same sentence until just now. Speaking of 2x SB MVP..... He only got it because they can't give the MVP to the entire defense when Brady had one of his worst games of the year. And somehow that makes Eli great?!?!?!? But, the one that really gets me is the 7th all time TDs and yards. Rivers and Roethlisberger were drafted at the same time and they all have about the same yards and TDs. BUT, Big Ben has almost 800 fewer attempts. Do you think that is a lot? Rivers has almost 1,000 fewer attempts (almost two seasons worth!!) for about the same yards and more TDs! Please explain this if Eli is so great!

    No, no, no. Eli's pass to Manningham on the final drive of Super Bowl 46 was the best pass of his life and one of the greatest throws in NFL history. I know the helmet catch was exciting, but the Manningham pass was placed in a 6-inch window from 40 yards away. Nothing compares.

      @Student Richard Keck I must disagree. Manning got himself into a position to make a play, which involved His Goofiness escaping 2 sacks in

    • @RickKasten
      @RickKasten Před 4 lety +1

      @Student Richard Keck 1) No one thinks the 2007 Patriots DL was "the greatest defensive line ever". No one. Well, except you.
      2) Eli never had "weight on his body". He was pushed back and had a hand grip his jersey. The fact that Eli Manning scrambled out of that pocket highlights how no one actually had a good beed on him.
      3) Any other QB might have made a different decision, but the WORST decision to make in that spot is throw down the middle of the field. Even a high school QB knows this. Eli himself acknowledges he should not have made that throw and was just trying to make a play. Strahan, Tuck and others have also said he should not have made that throw. Strahan even said he thought they were going to lose the game right there, throwing into the middle of the field and into triple coverage.
      So who is more likely to be correct: every HS, college and professional QB, every coach on those levels, Eli's teammates and Eli Manning himself? Or you?

    • @RickKasten
      @RickKasten Před 4 lety

      @Student Richard Keck No, I don't, because I didn't, and I think that's pretty clear not only from this conversation but also from all the player and media coverage on this subject. I'm not going to waste any more time on this.

    Cowboys fan here...I don't get all the negative out there about this guy. He was AWESOME. Two key clutch Super Bowl last-minute wins against the Patriots. He's at least as good as Phil Simms was in clutch games. He's been playing for what, 14 years? You know how hard it is to last that long in the NFL? I really think as football fans we have to be careful when talking about players as far as how good they were or weren't, and how much of our opinion is based on the guy's actual accomplishments vs. the fact that he's wearing the uniform of a team we don't like.
    Like people calling Aikman trash, that's just because you don't like the Cowboys, it's based on pure emotion. Not a fair way to judge players!

    Most underrated QB of all time. Name another QB that played in the Meadow Lands that was any good I will wait? ... Kurt Warner Sucked threw 6 TDs in 9 games. Joe Nameth with the Jets is the actual definition of average QB with a super bowl ring. Phil Simmons was pretty good but not as good as Eli, in the entire history of NFL football in NY there has not been a lot of great QB play because it's hard to play QB in the Meadow Lands period, and then add the NY media and market on top of it. Eli would have been better if he played in a dome like his brother did. He does not get enough credit. Those two Superbowls would not have been possible with out Eli manning. He literally carried the Giants to the super bowl both those years. Had to win an extra game each time, and played every team as the underdog on the road. He is a HOF get over it.

    Notice how these throws are to win games. Big throws big games. The media wants to bash Eli in favor of guys like Rivers, Big Ben. No one with the pedigree that Eli Manning has should be treated in such a manner. By benching Eli, they're placing blame for this season on his shoulders, when he has nothing to work with. I hope he gets an organization that deserves him before his time is up.

  • @idontlikegoogleplusstopmak7971

    I don't usually shit all over videos, but this ranking is just silly. The Super Bowl final drive Manningham pass (skill wise, the best pass of his career) is 6?? And it's right behind a TD pass in a regular season loss to the Saints. So weird.

    • @paulaveni1102
      @paulaveni1102 Před 6 lety +4

      Agreed. The Manningham pass could have easily been 2nd. However, l don't believe the outcome in any game (win, loss, or tie) in any way negates an amazing play. Manning on 4th down patiently waiting for an open man and hitting him just when the pressures on in that game was epic and reminds us why this man has 2 superbowl MVPs.
