I ended up cutting a v-shape in the back of the neck like RYV SM. Took some plastic off with an extacto, then heated the ball peg in boiled water and bent the peg back slightly like a mafex, then cooled it. Now, when it's fully crunch, it could look forward. I shouldn't have to but it worked out
For anybody on the fence on Wolverine I just wanna say that adding boot swivel is really easy. To add boot swivel just cut off the boot from the leg then drill into the leg and boot so you can fit a screw in there
Boot swivel is so crucial for wide stances, it's crazy that Hasbro still doesn't understand this. Nearly all their female bucks also lack boot swivel, even when they're new molds.

It’s because Hasbro doesn’t wanna make their figures to perfect, they want you to continue to buy figures that just barely have what you want in them. In 2 years they will release that same wolverine with boot swivel but it will be pinned legs with pinless arms.
I immediately did the McFarland ankle joints mod, cutting the disc joint out and howling the inside then drimmel up into the shin a lil and you pop in the black McFarland joint and you will never tell a mod was made, you get a perfect lower ankle swivel and pivot, time it took was 10min tops and now he hits all the poses, I love customizing but I do agree we shouldn't have to add modern day articulation to any figure HASBRO releases, I also shaved his thick neck and love handles for better proportions, had a hard time trying to remove the blue paint tho, any ideas?
I’m not okay with the lack of boot swivel. I got this figure to finally get a Wolverine that really wanted but that lack of swivel is noticeable. Thanks for the heads up with the iron man too. I kinda was interested in the MK1 armor. Though I may just let it and the MK2 pass.
First time I saw this issue was with the classic comics version of Power Man/Luke Cage. I do customs and often use McFarlane Toys ankle joints for both swivel and pivot. But no one should have to do this in the first place!
Yea man when I heard the Wolverine had no bootcut it was like a colossal mike tyson bob n weave hook to the chest. I thought the figure was amazing 9.5 out of 10 before I heard that. That brought it down to a 6. I hate when Hasbro makes these figures that look really good but then they mess up on a something very important. A few flaws is no big deal but it depends on what they are. And no boot swivel is big. And also with the new Ghost Rider. I saw a review I can’t remember who it was but the new Ghost Rider is way too short he is like 5’8 damn near same height ad this wolverine. Thats bad bro

The newest Luke Cage figure has the ankle swivel you're talking about. it works great. So disappointed with this wolverine cause otherwise it's really good! Some people dont get how important that boot swivel is for dynamic posing. If you've seen the leaked images of the ML Deadpool and Wolverine Wolverine figure it looks like he doesnt have boot swivel either. I really hope I'm wrong though cause its another one that looks great otherwise
It's not every Hasbro figure, I got the new Marvel 80th anniversary Xmen Xforce Deadpool and he has boot swivel. Maybe the new new stuff will have boot swivel, or maybe only certain characters for whatever reason
i have that gold iron man and lowkey i barely noticed there was no boot swivel. i ordered the astonishing wolverine + astonishing cyclops from an ebay listing and i hope the boot swivel doesnt impact it THAT much. if it does... Oh well ☹at least its my first wolverine figure

It’s cheapness. Hasbro will do everything and anything to pinch pennies. They never aim to make the figures as best as possible. They just do the bare minimum.
They skimp on things because they're cheap skates.😢 Jada Toys Street Fighter figs are much better value. They have better articulation too; although Bison would benefit from a boot/ankle swivel.
