***ADDENDUM to the Spinning Method: if it doesn't work counterclockwise, try it clockwise for a bit, then counterclockwise again, etc. This should eliminate most tangles.
how to remove anti stabing bracket from metal slinky? I need help!

@DJ ENDIE09 Yeah many times you have to use a combination of all the methods. Unhook the tangles first and then the unwind method.

Mine was like- the bottom part was always high up. Idk how to explain it but it was rlly hopeless

I originally searched for how to untangle two springs (like the ones that are in mechanical pencil sharpeners), so even though the content of your videos wasn't relevant to my problem, they were so well-made and informative that I've watched two of them. Well done. :) And if you're curious: if the springs of two mechanical pencil sharpeneres are entangled, all you have to do to untangle them is to keep twisting one of them in one direction while you hold the other one still. That way, slowly but surely, you'll twist it off the other one (because you'll be rotating it around the other one until it slides off of it). (There was no CZcams tutorial showing this, so at least someone reading this comment will know about it if they don't figure it out themselves.)

Thanks so much! I bought a giant rainbow spring from target… it was at the impulsive purchase entrance section. My cats actually love it. And it got tangled with what I now know was a hook point that I got out with your trick!!!! I honestly never would have thought of this.

This is brilliant. I knew I couldn't be the only one defeated by a plastic slinky. So after 5 minutes of trying to manually untangle a knot and preparing to put it in the bin I did a search and this was the first result. Thank you, the spinning method worked for all the knots I had, about 6-7 in total !

This actually worked with my metal slinky! I just removed the safety brackets with some pliers and used 'The Spinning Method' sure it did take some time but wow it worked! Thanks!

I cannot describe the pure joy this video has brought me - after decades of personal failed attempts at untangling my slinkies, I had a mild case of PTSD when my children received a giant plastic one for Christmas. Low and behold less than a month later it was so tangled my anxiety would spike just seeing it 😂 After spending an hour attempting on my own, and several tries of hiding it or tossing it without kids noticing I took a gamble that CZcams might have a fix. No exaggerating, 30 seconds of your video and 45 seconds of performing, and I'm now crying happy tears as the Savior of our household. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
