I have tried to grow this plant so many times now and failed. One time literal elephants ate and played with my plant. 💀 (Not lying we live near an Elephant corridor so sometimes they make a detour to our houses to eat the banana trees.) I'll try one last time. 😭

Good video, I would like to ask if all varieties of elephant bush flowers at some point of its live? I have one for years and I have not seen yet any flower!
Getting these plants to bloom in cultivation is rare, and even rarer for them to bloom in containers or when kept indoors. To encourage blooms, ensure that you provide them with adequate lighting and place them outdoors
Thank you for this video! Very helpful! They always look so beautiful when I get them but unless it's outside in the spring and summer in Michigan, they always drop leaves and they never come back for me. Should I fertilize my elephant bush do you think?
Maybe you overwatering it, allow the soil to mostly dry out between waterings. Fertilizing can be beneficial, but don't overdo it. Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer at half-strength
I have mine in with succulents that can’t handle full sun, yikes I hope it still blooms. It’s outside on the patio that gets morning sun afternoon shade and I live in zone 9. Do you think it will bloom ? Thank you your video was very helpful 🙏
Hi there, this soft wooded plant can grow in mild climates (hardy in zones 9- 11). Unlike many succulents, it only blooms after several years of growth and only in climates near identical to the plant’s natural habitat. To encourage blooming with this succulent, you’ll need to keep its climate similar to that of its natural habitat- cool nights, dry air, and little water will help promote flowering. Patience is key. Hope this helps.

Hi there, you can sometimes combine two pesticides to treat many problems at once. Typically, fungicides and insecticides are used in combination to treat both pests and diseases. If you choose not to use pesticides, you can use neem oil, which also acts as a fungicide.
It was just white pebbles. We used them for the top dressing, and also to keep the soil porous. However, the rotting problem also has many reasons, not only because of the pebbles. I guess you might check again the exact cause, then have a suitable way to fix 😉

Hi Ashmita, its slow tendency to grow is natural. Make sure that you propagate Elephant Bushes during the spring since this is when the plant is most active
@@SucculentsBox Hi ! Thanks for responding.... since you mentioned it is a slow growing plant, I am trying to be patient. How often do you water it? You are recommended to keep the soil moist but prevent water from accumulating. Too much moisture in the soil can cause plants to grow slowly. Also, this kind of succulent is a slow-growing plant so it is usually limited to 10 feet (3 m.) or less in the home garden. You may check its planter if it's too small for your baby grow more!

@@potatoeschip3529 In general, you should water it every 2-3 weeks in the summer and once a month or less during other times of the year or when the soil is completely dry.
