Yes, he had the eye but momoshiki said to him in the vision that he had strongly inherited otsutsuki powers when he look at his eye. He said that because of the eye. Not because he killed him. That was their argument and the guy reading the manga was wrong (ah the satisfaction from that).

Kokkelikirva I think his friend misunderstood him, because he thought that the line "those who killed a god will never live the same or somenthing" was refering to the fact that is unique or very rare to kill a god but he missed the meaning; those who killed a god acquired a power named "Kāma". Thats why he never will be the same or he never will live the same way.
He got a curse mark from killing him, which is what the guy reading the manga was talking about

Pronounced as “ken” in Japanese.
Just like the pronunciation of “shuriken” ‘s ken.
And shuriken in Chinese is writing as “手裏劍”which means “the sword that can be hold in the palm”

If you saw the movie, “Naruto: The Last” it even says in there that Hinata, and not just Hinata but the whole Hyuga clan, are descendants of Hamura’s bloodline which is why Boruto inherited that eye. It’s probably a subset of the bayakugan right, a weaker version of it maybe but in all honestly idk. I’d like to know what that eye does though cuz idk wtf it does lol.

He got the eye from the other naruto movie when Hinata was kidnapped and the ōtsutsuki member implanted a black orb that looked like a truth seeker, inside Hinata, which that was later given to boruto because he was the first born. His eye can sense evil chakra so basically he’s able to see bad people in a more complex version than the byakugan. What’s he gained from Momoshiki was all of his abilities because he was the one who killed him, hence the mark on his right hand. So as boruto develops, so will his ōtsutsuki powers
