No idea how this came up in my recommendations, had no idea there was a competitive TA scene. Havent played that game in 15 years, will check out some matches, nice cast.

Despite CZcams auto detecting the game as TA, this is actually "Beyond All Reason". A community developed game based on TA. I can 100% recommend checking it out. It's an amazing project with a remarkable amount of polish for what it is, with a very active community. The game is entirely free, so if you like what you see, you can download and try it out any time.
Requiem does good casts of mostly smaller more competitive matches, whilst another youtuber 'BrightWorks', does nice casts of larger 8v8 team games, with some silly novelty matches on the side.

2 commander, 1 factory (or lab) strat should start the factory right away and then share it with the 2nd player who first caps the mexes and gets the E to support it. It has to be about getting units and constructors out faster.

I actually think this 1 factory strat could be pretty viable on a map like this.

Great game! I think the 1 factory start could work if the coordination was a little better, and timings were a little crisper. Either way, it's smart when vs'ing a high skill player like Goopy to go for unique or non-meta starts, since he can probably outplay 99.9% of players in a contest of mechanics.

I was just playing with a similar concept, but instead the 2nd player just buys a con from the ally. This lets them spend the early factory time time building solars, E storage, mexs and llts. Then they can make a con turret before factory and recoup a speedup and use of those extra initial resources before still being in a good place to walk away (1 worker making solars at home, commander expanding, ready to make combat and expanders)

Yeah I agree.
Going for an unusual startergy would throw off your expect play for a strong player.
Unfortunately they needed to capatilse early on the strat
