I show how it sounds when you turn down the guitar and have gain to full vs having the guitar on full and then turn down the gain. You will find that part at 6:24.
In the nova drive there is one voulme for the level of the overdrive and one volume for the Distortion. So there is no overall volume. If you want to asign any of these volumes to the expression pedal you just change the value that you can see at 3:30 in this video. You change from #23 to #24 if you want to control the overdrive volume or you change from #23 to #28 if you wamt to change it to distortion volume. I hope this helps you.

nice! actually, the gain control can be also simply managed by the vol pot of the guitar. It could be interesting to assign to the exp. pedal the overall volume control,
