- From Glen Campbell's 1971 album, "The Last Time I Saw Her." Glen also performed this song at the grand opening of the Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando, Florida. One of the most beautiful songs he ever recorded and written by the "Alabama Wild Man" himself, Jerry Reed.
We had this LP when I was growing up in the 70s. Glenn's voice comes home to me like truth.
I want this Song by Glen Campbell to be Played at my funeral........It really says it all doesn't it...Cherish every moment in Life.
Better to hear it now where you can enjoy it.
My musical tastes are varied. Jazz. Heavy metal. And much in-between. But this one, my anthem.

I think we live in a wondrous age. When I woke this morning, I actually woke with this song on my mind. So with my computer, the song title and Glen's name, in minutes I'm listening to it, courtesy of You Tube. Too many people today take life for granted, myself included. The words to the lyrics of "Today Is Mine" sum up an ideal we should all strive to live up to. "To die a little, that I might learn to live, to take from life, that I might learn to give, today is mine". So true, so appropriate. Thank you Glen and to you Jerry, you're sadly missed, but not forgotten...

I like to dedicate this beautiful & perfect song to the wonderful time my Daughter Sierra (who was 11 at the time) & I had in Disney World exactly 10 years ago today April 19, 2006. When I reflect on it today it was the "perfect day" everything went better that we could have wished for, weather etc +. This was part of a 6-day trip that will live in our hearts forever in fact our picture was even taken at Leave A Legacy at Epcot so that wonderful time was frozen & is always there among thousands of others who visited Disney. I took my Daughter "many" places as she was growing up but this trip to Disney was without a doubt the all-time best one of all & it brings a tear to listen to this song & look back on how it was than, especially when I know it won't happen anymore because my Daughter is now 21 & a little to old for Disney now, but many times I wish I could travel back & do it all over again!! Love you Sierra DAD :)

This song is one of the touchpoints for the love that my beloved and I shared. Our local radio station would play it every morning as we were getting ready to face our busy days. We spent a lot of time in the 90's looking for the album. Thank you for sharing this song and for identifying the album. I can still see my beloved, smiling at me as he held my hand.

This has become one of my favorite songs by Glen Campbell. I well up inside every time I hear it. Especially when I look around at the state of the world today. The music is beautiful but it is the lyrics that are so powerful. The fact that Jerry Reed wrote it blew me away.
The message is clear. Make the most of each day as tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.
