  • Watch and listen to the New Holland TX68 Plus combine harvester as it works its way through a field of winter barley.
During this video you will see the combine from both inside the cab and out in the field. I also talk about a few of this harvesters specifications and what it's doing.
There are a couple New Holland tractors hauling the grain trailers throughout this video too.

    Hi Freddy
Don't mind me asking but who's farm was this at. I'm from the area.
I had one of these after I left New Holland as a demonstrator in 2000.
In my humble opinion the BEST combine they EVER MADE. GREAT VIDEO brought back some fantastic memories of a superb machine..

Not a bad sample especially seeing it was for own use.
Your far better off taking a slightly dirty sample and GETTING EVERY grain as opposed to seed corn clean and half on the floor.
This series of the TX 60 was superb for a clean sample esp in wheat i as a demonstratior for N.H always told potential clients to open top sieve to the knuckles of your fingers bottom sieve about 1/2, inches and keep turning up the air until it stopped coming out the back....
I've since gone on to demonstration the CR and CX range from N.H But it was the TX 60 series that had it bang on.
I could cut a 4 ton crop of AVALON or HEREWARD at 5/6 k forward speed.. it was a beast of a machine the 68, sadly the vast majority of operators were frightened of pushing these machines on to their full capacity..
If people doubt this look up Tony Gardener from DISS Norfolk.
He was THE combine Guru he knew everything about these machines regardless of colour..

Had 68 plus, lovely combine, but you had to blow off the engine bay regularly, chaff gathered right under the exhaust and it was a major fire risk on early models, that’s a 24ft cut 4 sections of 6ft each on the header
