  • In this video, I take on the challenge of repairing an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti FTW that was reported with a no-display issue. Using MODS, I identified two faulty memory modules. During the repair process, I discovered that one of the memory modules, labeled B1, had a ripped pad.
    Join me as I walk you through the entire repair process, from lifting the faulty memory and fixing the ripped pad to reballing the memory and reinstalling it to restore the GPU's functionality. This step-by-step guide is packed with tips and insights for anyone interested in GPU repairs.

      Actually I released this video then realised I goofed up with the music volume. Removed it fixed the volume and released it back again. 😁. I hope I don't get a penalty for that .

    Great job. Have you been able to work on any experiments with upgrading the memory of a 3080 yet?

      Not yet. All the upgrades are pending. There are a lot of GPUs in the queue for repair because of which I was not able to continue working on upgrades. but the next upgrade video I should be able to post will be the RTX 3070. 😁

    When you tested furmark and Heaven. I see 11V on 12V Riel #1 and #2.
    Can you see your Power Supply? I think it is low voltage.
    Sorry for my poor english. Good video.

      Yes I have to replace the cap of the power supply. It's a 1600w but it's quite old and the cap is not holding up that well.

    Hello Frazier.
    I have a question.
    I asked another guy if its possible to add more vram to a 3080 10gb EVGA FTW3.
    He said it was impossible.
    So I ask you, is that something that can be done, and in a working state or is it truly impossible?

      There are currently lots of hiccups with the 3080ti I am working on. Currently I have not been able to fix the issues with the 3080ti until now. But if I am able to get around it I will release a video. Even if I'm not able to I will still release a video on the progress and updates of that GPU so it will still be a case study that can be shared. Also there will be lots of inputs for other minds as well.

    Hi, awesome vid as usual, want to ask, I want to do repair like this as well or should I say learn an I managed to get almost all the tools I need but I'm stuck on getting a microscope, is there any like fundraiser sites you could recommend to help me raise the fund for one as its expensive in my country, sorry if its a weird question

    • @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql
      @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql  Pƙed měsĂcem +3

      There are no fundraiser sites for this kind of thing. Not that i know of. But it's not necessary that you have to buy all the tools at once. you can build your kit over time. buy only the necessary ones like Hot air, soldering iron, multimeter, variable power supply, flux, soldering wire, isopropyl alcohol, and some kind of magnification. this is all you require to start. rest you can build over time as you learn and get better and your locality knows you do repairs. This is how I started. 😁
