  • Peacocks are wreaking havoc in some Los Angeles neighborhoods. Some people love them, others just want some peace and quiet. That’s why a new bill banning feeding the birds is so controversial. NBC News NOW correspondent Simone Boyce went looking for some in East Pasadena.

I love Peacocks too but he has a point. Peacocks are VERY noisy and, especially during the breeding season, can be very aggressive and can attack people or break glass since they can't comprehend there reflection. They're essentially just prettier turkeys. Personally I don't mind Peacocks but I understand why people can find them a nuisance

@SHICKEN NUGGIES an invasive species is introduced by humans. Humans move themselves. For something to qualify as an invasive species it has to be introduced to a new habit. If the animal/plant moves on its own it doesn't qualify as an invasive species.

I feel bad for the residents who have to deal with damaged cars, peacock waste, and the loud calls they make. So, I hope most of the birds can be safely and humanely relocated soon, but you can't, or more precisely, you shouldn't try to force ppl not to feed them. Feeding someone, be it human or animal is an act of kindness and love, and states shouldn't try to criminalize empathy and kindness.

And if you know how kooky a crazy-cat-lady is...just picture it...a crazy-peacock-lady is 10x worse than that. Outside making her dumb noises. These birds should be humanely located to a local food shelter where the meat can be put to good use.
