Until Verve 1.0 is ready, the "free" version holds its spot in order to allow donating, but that now requires an order fee we have to pay. That's why there is temporarily a 1€ minimum donation, but this will later go away again and v0.99z will be totally "free" again.

I'm over the moon myself to finally getting back at it. In all these years I've learned quite a lot and can finally untangle the wickedness, cleanup and organize the code and finally proceed by seeing things more clearly. Feels wonderful to be back! THANK YOU! 🍻

I've always loved this software and wished for it to grow! It takes a bit to learn but there's just nothing like it on the market.
It's still morning and you've already made my day! 😊 Well, it currently grows in an unexpected way, slipping into the browser as "Vervette".
I encourage everyone to turn Layer --> Bump to 91% & Metalic to 3% as an experiment with thick paint. Brush 8 makes it so you can effortlessly create intense detailed complex scenes; but these brush images on #3 look incredible; can't wait to paint!! Welcome back Taron!!
Great suggestion and loads of fascinating fun! There are various ways in which to exploit the wilder things Verve has to offer. I always enjoy doing a bit of relief type painting, which works great. You then can even use layers to vary "materials", so to say.
Hey Taron, I'm glad to see you again in yt, it's nice to see many people from the forum here as well, I also resumed Verve training some time ago, and I have some "thoughts" I hope to share with you soon. Congrats.

Thanks, Mattei! Almost every day v1.0 is growing and it feels fantastic to be in it again, but it's still quite a road ahead. Once I have truly addressed the GUI, it's ready to roll out, but the rest has already quite advanced. 😀

I have a billion questions about the planned payment scheme for the 1.0, but I'm sure you'll elucidate us in due time.
No scheme, just a price and a low one. I'm thinking about 32 Euros, since it's still 32 bit, haha. But, yeah, no arms or legs to give on that one. 🤑🤗
@@Taronites price is probably the most obvious question, but far from the only one.
further questions would be like:
* How are purchases preserved? Would I need an account somewhere?
* If I buy 1.0, presumably I'd get further 1.0 updates. But, in a hypothetical space-age 2.0 future (a.k.a. I get it if you don't know yet,) would a purchased 1.0 license continue to be supported, could it be upgraded for a discount, or would I need to buy a new license? Would it depend on whether 2.0 is more expensive?
* To take that last point backwards, if drop 40USD on .99z today, would I receive a free upgrade to the 1.0 license?
The forum post mentions "cross-platform" plans, and it sounds like you're describing a one-time fee instead of some adobe-style subscription nightmare, so I'll skip those questions.
@@SoulSukkur Let's start with the first suggestion I wanted to make for the 0.99z introduction video: YES (on the last point)! Further more, if you dropped $40 on me, you'd have to give me your forum handle and I'd invite you to join the 1.0 Alpha Forum where you would naturally get every update of the latest version and participate with feedback, suggestions and doodles!!! Like, yes, yes, yes! 😄🤗
As for future plans, my plan was to have the 32€ price for v1.0 and with it you get an extra discount for when I'd go cross-platform to 64bit with v2.0 then for 64€, either just paying the difference or less, actually. I'm still debating whether a license would give you both Win and MacOS versions, but we shall see. However, you would never "buy the cat in the sack", HAHAHA (German expression), but it'll be all transparent easy and affordable, of course.
I'm still pondering over an account system for other reasons that are even more exciting, but I won't talk about it before I have it all worked out. However, licensing will be absolutely old-school and nothing that would require you to be online. I hate complications! It's supposed be and feel light and easy.
But, yeah, I think I will make that announcement in the next video, regarding the Alpha 1.0 version and forum for anyone, who donates more than 32€. It'll be fun to have a larger group there for sure! 🤓

Hey Taron, I am glad to see you are still working on Verve. Do you think it would be passible to add support for midi device to control the settings. that would be a killer feature specially with infinite rotaries to control settings.

Will there be tutorial videos for drawing with the mouse? how to draw small details (stones, rocks, trees) when drawing landscapes
Uh, what a neat idea! Hmmmm...it's tough to really paint with the mouse like that, but I can try. I always wanted to add a pixel art mode where the mouse would be totally perfect and that's a fantastic reminder to do that, too.
Any plans for updating Lord of the Springs as well? I still notice some random ringing noise issues.
I will first have a look at the CLAP SDK, but then there's a really good chance. No idea when that will be, though, but I'd love to. 😎 ...random ringing noises sounds ominous, though. 😦
@@TaronitesI sometimes experience this phenomenon with spitfire sounds, I press play sample and double click the sample while the sample is playing and it continues to play without being able to stop it, the only way to stop it is by loading the library up and press the play sample button and let the sample play itself fully.
Not sure if this is the same issue but if it helps I'm happy
@@jasonanthonywebster8859 No, no, no, it's not that. It's probably just some weirdness with certain parameter settings that could show up during playing a note. Hanging notes can't happen. But thanks for "chiming" in, HAHA! 😁
Taron! are you still planning to upload (here or anywhere else you decide to ...) head modelling videos?
Yes, it will happen! I'm currently having too much fun developing Vervette, which continuously grows into something really fantastic. But my plan still stands on making those modeling tutorials. It will be more than head-modeling and should teach the general approach of "organic modeling" of low-res geometry. Thanks for asking! 👍

@@Taronites here goes a suggestion, get into twitch record a full modeling session, no editing jumping to other things if you need to, you don't even have to complete the model or have an audience, and then post the links over here that would be great, and latter maybe out of those someone could help editing shorts... again just an idea.

I still have a neat little intro already and could just finally do a proper recording and I will. I haven't done any 3D modeling in the last few months again. But, yeah... I sort of want a good timing with everything that's going on around me as things gradually begin to take shape with various things. I trust it will all come at the right time! Yeah, dang, I know. But only for a few more months until the commercial version is ready. We're billed 30c for each order, which is roughly what's left from 1€ simply keeping us from paying you for getting Verve. Eventually this version will be completely free again, but thank you for noticing.🥺 ...hope it's worth a little less than a Snickers to you?!

Will this ever be on ipad?
Yes, extremely likely, but not before v2.0, because I will switch programming languages for that. It will then also be on macOS, but I can't tell how soon that will happen. Step by step. Thanks for asking, though! 👍
