@@daddyshome275Yes, but the scene never showed for definite that he died. She got him pretty good in the head with a pipe or whatever, and he dropped right then and there. For all we know, he could’ve been knocked unconscious. Additionally, I’m pretty sure there was unofficial or official confirmation of his return at some point in the past, but nothing ever came of that. So, it’s totally possible he could return, and have the explanation be that he simply survived the head injury and escaped the dam before it was blown up. But as much I would’ve loved to see him return, I don’t really see a purpose for his return at this point. It would be hard to shove him into the current plot in a plausible way and provide his return with an actual purpose.
Before the change of writers, in my opinion the first 3 seasons and the flash back scenes in season 4 (Basically any episode with Nick and Maddison) are on par if not better than some seasons of the original TWD

I'd say killing John Dorie was one of the worse examples of how a writer should kill a character. There's nothing more depressing and aggravating than a bad character's death. And it's the reason why I completely stopped watching FTWD I stopped after Season 4 episode 1 knowing seasons 4 and 5 were terrible but John Dorie was the one that made me go back and watch (at least all the scenes featuring John). Season 6 was when returned to watch full episodes but when how they killed John just made me fucking furious. I know Garrett Dillahunt wanted to leave who can blame him but they could have just had him get captured by the CRM and crossover with Rick. There both share many qualities.
To me, Josiah looks kinda different cause the hat was a big part of Emile, and Josiah looks a lot bigger somehow, maybe it’s the armor. He had a twin brother. It was shown on the same episode when the bounty hunter died. He found the box either the same episode he died or the next episode
For some reason the writers on FTWD are really good at coming up with characters that you either really love or really hate in a single episode and you want more or less of them... then they kill off the really good characters immediately at the end (very predictable) and leave the bad characters to live on.
