I made the mistake of visiting both six flags great adventure and hersheypark during the christmas season, which happens to be when all of their best coasters are closed. I did get to ride candymonium, nitro, and batman, which were all fun rides, but I felt like I was cheated out of Skyrush, Stormrunner, El Toro, Kingda Ka, Great Bear, Fahrenheit, Lightning racer, and many others. Wildcat's revenge and. Jersey devil were supposed to be open, but both happened to be closed for maintenance.
Love this! I haven't been to either of these parks but they are high on my list. Would love to see more of these head to heads, the 2 Busch Parks & Dollywood vs Silver Dollar City come to mind.
I’m not going to lie giving great adventure a point for having dark knight and skull mountain making them attempt to have a good family coaster line-up yet not giving magic mountain a point for having 4 kid roller coasters is pretty bias 😢
I really like JDC and have it over nitro as the 3rd best in the park, however I have had some bad rides on it so it’s very inconsistent but at its best it is fantastic
If you’re looking at the parks merely for the thrill factor of rides, magic mountain takes the cake for sure. Thrills in numbers there to keep you busy all day.
Completely disagree about the color schemes of Scream & Medusa. I’ll take Blue & Orange (which are complimentary colors on the color wheel) over Green & Brown any day of the week.
Magic Mountain was my home park from 1986 - 1995. Since 1998 Great Adventure is my home park. The only gripe I have is Great Adventure is the largest Six Flags park but is grossly lagging behind many others as far as ride collection. In the theme park industry, RMC hybrids are equivalent to the hottest ticket on Broadway right now...but Great Adventure doesn't even have one while little Funspot Atlanta has one of the best ones out there. 😳😳😳 Magic Mountain has several coasters that are not found at Great Adventure and one of the worst inconsistencies was 2015 when Magic Mountain got Twisted Colossus and Great Adventure got...what...El Diablo, that traveling carnival Larson Loop. People here were pissed that was the new addition for 2015. They couldn't believe it. And it really exposed just how cheap Six Flags was. My best friend and I have opted to go to Hersheypark lately especially when Wildcat's Revenge opened. We don't even mention Great Adventure anymore.
Fiesta Texas doesn’t have much to offer but magic mountain and great adventure do yea fiesta Texas has good rides but the only actual 2 good rides there are Wonder Woman and iron rattler magic mountain has X2 and great adventure has el toro and one of the only good things at fiesta is the food

I think that Fiesta texas is the Best Because of its Theming and Ride Collection. I also think that Great America is better than great Adventure

SFMM is my home park. Goliath does suck. That mid-ride break run is horrible. That pretzel loop on Tatsu is the best. And X2 is so fantastic.
