Have been using pressure cookers for more than 50 years, but I was always a little hesitant with certain ingredients and reluctant to be "tied" to my kitchen to make sure the temperature/pressure was properly set. I first learned about Instant Pot not long after we moved to coastal Northern California, and I have been in love since. I have two of them, one I bought years ago, one I got for Christmas 2023. Adding Freezer Fit to the mix has saved my life. It's great for young moms, working women or mean, and large families, but we are seniors, and we totally love it, too. I had a lot of recipes before Instant Pot, but through Instant Pot recipes online, a variety of online cooks, and Freezer Fit, I have so many that I could make a different one every night and never use the same one twice--and I do have a lot of oven, broiler, grill, and stop top recipes that I love as well--so I will be in recipe heaven for the rest of my life. Thank you InstantHome, the maker of Instant Pot, and Freezer Fit, the maker of recipes that are nutritious, easy, and fantastic time savers. Keep it up.
I've used pressure cookers for 25 years; long before the Instant Pot brand hit the market. In addition to the Instant Pot, I still have the Cuisinart 6qt, which was my first electric "instant" pressure cooker, and I also have an electric Bistro 12qt one for pork butts, turkeys, ribs, baked potatoes for a crowd, and extra large volume soups. Sometimes I'll use two at a time- one for the meal and another for rice, beans or veggie side. I love my pressure cookers SO much! They cut cooking time by at least half, tenderize the toughest meats, and infuse flavor into meat like nothing else. There are horror stories of older manual pressure cookers exploding, which is why my mother and grandmother refused to use them, but today's electric ones are totally safe. The lids are designed so that you literally CANNOT physically open the lid while there is still pressure inside. I encourage everyone to try it. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. ❤
When I was young, my mom used a pressure cooker. She stressed how dangerous it was. When I became an adult I was so afraid to use one! I was one of those that was scared to use the Instapot. I bought one shortly after they arrived on the scene. I use it about 2-3 times per week. I absolutely love making bone broth in my Instapot! Thanks for the recipe ideas. I get so bored with meal planning!
I have figured out that it takes about 15 minutes to come up to pressure with most of the meals I make in it. I have the smallest pot to cook rice and I take it camping in the little RV.
Love my Instant Pot. I use it nearly every day. I also had the old stove top pressure cookers, and just love the ease of using the electric models.
I love my Instant Pot. My daughter got me one about 5 years ago. I use it about once a week. I made Spaghetti and Meatballs this week. My husband's favorite recipe is ribs in the Instant Pot. He said they are delicious and fall off the bone.
Love my instant pot. I've been using it for years at least 2-3 times a week. It's a great time saver and one pot meals are always a win!! Enjoyed your video!
I totally agree!
I actually own a Ninja Foodie which also has pressure cooker function, plus a slow cooker, sear/saute, broil/roast, dehydrate, steam, and air frier funtions. I don't use the air frier funtion much because I have a toaster/air fryer oven (also by Ninja) so I've thought of trying to sell it to get and intant pot so I would just have one lid to mess with. I love the funtionality of it and that it replaces multiple kitchen gadgets, but I wish I would have kept my rice cooker. I use the pressure cooker all the time and then have to make rice on the stove which never seems to turn out right. I saw you use a little mini Dash rice cooker and may have to break down to get one of those. I've been enjoying FreezerFit so far and have found the recipes to be much more flavorful than many other pressure cooker recipes I've tried. Can't wait to try more. I also love the reusable gallon bags you recommend. I had problems with my Ziplock bags getting holes in them and then leaking all ove my fridge. The new bags have taken care of that problem. :)
I love my Instant POT. HAVEN'T BEEN USING IT AS MUCH. YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME.. I GOT IT OUT AND TRIED THE LID Holder TRICK! works on mine too... Thank You, always trying to find a good spot for it! I love making cheesecake in it ( mine was a Keto version and so good.
love the instant pot. I use it at least 3-4 times a week
We use our Instant Pots (yes we have 2 as well) not quite as much as our air fryer (which we use at least once a day) but we use it a lot. BTW if using a tomato based product, we found it best to add it last… keeping it away from the bottom of the pot.
Thanks for the tips!
I love my instant lit and am always looking for freezer meals for it.

Welcome!
Have one and like it. Need to use it more often. Your video was very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much!!!
Love the instant pot. Have an old one. Never got the burn message.
I love my instant pot.
LOVE my Instant Pot ! What is your chicken shredding method after removing the breasts from the pot? Some say a mixer with beaters works well.
Yes! That's definitely one way to do it. Shredding the chicken with two forks is way easier, and faster, plus you only have to clean those little forks instead of the mixer.
I use my Instant pot all the time.....Need recipes.

I have a freezerfit membership. Is the lemon chicken orzo recipe on the site?
Can i make a single serving freezer meal in the 6 quartz with pot in pot cooking?
Why not stir it?
This looks more like gumbo, not jambalaya. I am from the jambalaya capital of the world.
