That og test mule is a Australian VE Holden SS ute heavily modified the only thing chevy on that OG test mule is the C7 wheels the ute bed has been shortened as well.

I’ve been several times to spring mountain. Amazing place , great staff, hotel and truly gives you an appreciation of what the cars can REALLY do in a controlled environment. Last time I was there we drove the 2018 ZO6

The track was sold like 2 years ago for around $500k, i imagine it was even cheaper now. Throw in a few big company sponsors and it really wasnt as expensive as people think it was. Also hes had the C8 pre-ordered for months now.

I am really impressed at how quite it is in the cabin, even when ripping around the track with the window down.
The corvette just went from being known as the "supercar killer" to the "hypercar killer" once you get some more power into that baby, hot damn the v10s and v12s better watch out!!
Just wait til the ZR1 edition comes out or just the Z06 with the Z07 package both of them should be a world of difference between them and the Stingray but them talking about how good the handling is in the Stingray they don't even need to build the Grand Sport

Nathan Bergmann From what I read recently the 0-60 times are 2.8 sec and the 2 McLaren’s are 2.9 and there are a number of cars that are double and quadruple the price of the C8. Can’t wait to see testing from several different sources. I hope they put the car through it’s paces enough to give dependability. It tweaks my britches to see American Engineering come through. Time will tell. For me, this is as exciting as when the 63 split window made its debut. The 67 made a big splash and I love it but my heart is still on the 63. I have turned sixteen shades of green watching this. Lucky devils.👍🇺🇸🤙😃

BEARD0 an all inclusive is a vacation like to a resort where everything is included. You don’t pay for drinks or food unless you leave the resort. So you can literally just stay at the resort all week ( which is usually rather big ) and just practice getting drunk all week and doesn’t cost any extra. The only resort I can think of off the top of my head is in Cancun Mexico. Wish they had one in Puerto Rico, sadly they do not.
I’m surprised they didn’t incorporate a line lock mode.
Chevy is trying to make the car suitable for the circuit type of racing instead of drag racing. I agree though, would be a nice feature.

@Danny Hayson if you watch either the first or second outside shot of him doing the burnout you can see it pushing immediately thru the locked front tires. Not enough weight on them to hold it back plus the tire pressures being what they were.

Apparently there's a 700hp model coming soonish, there were test mules with enough torque to crack the engine cover.
its how the cars able to put the HP/TRQ to the ground that matters and Chevrolet is pretty good at that.

I talked with the corvette manager at the local chevy dealership, (he was out here with them). Supposedly the serviceability isn't horrible. My dealership services a large number of ZR1's (including mine) and Z06's so the dude knows his shit.
Ug yeah looks like you have to pull the motor to change the plugs
$320 for the dealer to pull the dipstick and check the oil level.
I'll stick with my 2011 Grand Sport. Easy to work on.
It'll be like changing a clutch or maintaining the torque tube on the prior model. Just drop the rear subframe
I've read theres a removable panel behind the seats to access the front of the engine

@@Veikra nah its mid engine. so much weight on rear wheels equals traction. You'd need a grippy tire in the front and a slippy on the back to do a rolling burnout. just look at it when he tried. Front tires were locked and it just pushes it

Some seatbelts you can pull all the way out and it engages the lock. Sometimes it only works on passenger seats for car seat usage. Try it
I'm soooo upset that yesterday was my day off!! I work at spring mountain in the vette shop. I was really hoping to get yours and coops autograph. Hopefully you come for the school and I get to meet you at least sometime this year.. You can get a membership also, plus we offer advanced schools and even private lessons.
