Mr. Morrison, are you familiar with Dr. Umar Johnson? He is currently the leading spokesperson of what you are referring to in regard to New Africans establishing economic & cultural independence. He's also opening up a school specifically for empowering African children.

Shikam187 we to must understand that those who identify with our struggle are allies to a degree. We can go back to bartering between ethnic groups again who identify with our direct struggle and revolutionary ideological view.

I agree with embracing "New Afrikan" but there is no need to denigrate the term African American. There is a simple solution and that is to embrace dual citizenship.
Our ancestors more than earned the right to be American citizens by the blood they shed on this soil, by the atrocities they endured. Our ancestors are more American than most whites whose grandparents came as immigrants through Ellis island in the 1930's. We were here long before them since 1619.
There is a simple solution and that is to embrace dual citizenship as both an African American and a citizen of the R.N.A. (Republic of New Afrika) or New Afrikan. We need no more division or tribalism between us. We are BOTH!
And another thing, America didn't give us the name African American. Actually it was Malcolm X who first coined the term Afro-American. We expanded it to full African American. Our ancestor's died for it and suffered atrocities for it. The simple solution is dual citizenship.
Also, The idea that African American is synonymous with Jewish Nazi is incorrect. The Nazi flag is synonymous with the confederate flag. Germany had a national flag and Jews have no problem calling themselves German Jews, so I will continue to be proud to be BOTH an African American and a New Afrikan in America. If someone said they were a Black confederate. That would be the same as Jewish Nazi.
Yes we were slaves under the American flag, but there did come a time when that same flag emancipated us, and I am under no illusion that this country all of a sudden found Jesus and a conscience. It was not about freeing Black people, it was about taking a strategic move to break the source of southern economic power in order to maintain the Union. Still, it was the American flag that emancipated us and actually fought against the flag that wanted to keep us slaves, the confederate flag.
So there is no need to denigrate our ancestors who earned being African Americans. But I understand and agree with embracing "New Afrikan" in America as a "STRATEGY" to get our own territory and reparations that we are entitled to like the Native Americans.
They have dual citizenship. They are proud to be called by whatever their nation or tribe is but they are not rejecting being called Native Americans. The way to go about gaining mass support for adopting our identity as New Afrikans is not by denegrading what our ancestors died for. That is not necessary. It’s the wrong strategy. We should simply embrace BOTH!

Solomon Burke America was coined by the Spaniards, why do you get to be more American with dual citizenship than a South American? Some of this people were slaves also for the Spaniards with all different backgrounds like Arabic-Spaniards...
