  • In this Kali Linux episode we will run Kali Linux inside an LXC container on Proxmox VE (www.proxmox.com). We'll talk about Remote Access using VNC, RDP or X2go. We'll have a look at container templates and how to tweak the network. Last but not least I'll talk about self hosting ideas.

      I’ll think it over - had been planning to do rundeck, ansible and zabbix at least for a while ;-)

    Hey Marc, I love the series. Nice work. Do you have a recommendation for memory and disk size when building Kali in Proxmox as you have done here? Or is there a link to another one of your other videos that has that information?

    • @OneMarcFifty
      @OneMarcFifty  Před rokem +2

      Hi Matt - disk size depends on the packages you install. 8 GB for core, 40 GB for everything. Memory - 2 GB should be enough

      Hi, it's funny you say that because I had just recently thought - hmmm... how would you actually back up a docker container... ? I am also thinking about migration Docker-LXC-WSL and the like.

    Hi Marc! Thank you for the great videos. Would be interested in a video about your fhem container in proxmox and how this needs to be configured to access all the radio devices (cul, signalduino, …) used to communicate with home automation sensors and actors.
    Thanks & Greetings

      Hey Thomas - I thought I'd be the only FHEM "dinosaur" on this planet ;-) Great to hear there are other still. Now - w/r to your question - I am not using hardware attached to FHEM directly. All my RF433 signalling is done with modded Sonos RF devices which run OpenMQTT and do the signalling using Pilight protocol over MQTT... sorry. I "standardized" the whole thing on MQTT quite a while ago.

      @@OneMarcFifty Hey Marc! When I see the update log of fhem there seem to be many dinosaurs beside us 😀 And isn’t it nice to keep the good old Perl skills alive with fhem? 😀 Your answer makes me even more curious about your setup. Never heard of Sonos RF or Pilight and always planned to get into MQTT but never found the time for it. So If you would create a video about your setup I would be more than happy. If you think it’s to special and not interesting to anybody else, I would also be happy if you could refer me to channels / videos / material to get into the topics!

    Marc, part 4 does not appear in my subscription feed. I see 1, 2, 3 and 5, but no 4. Is there some setting on the part 4 video that might hide it?

    Can you please make video on `iptables`. I'm drifting here and there to understand it properly.
