Odd suggestion... but if you felt like doing a different version of Diggy Diggy Hole, Colin Furze has been doing some digging. Some of his friends play instruments.

Yea I'm a Milligan they were basically sworn enemies the Mulligan’s who were Irish Rebels against the English so they're families didn't agree with the marriage one being Roman Catholic and the other being Protestant there's a bunch of other songs on the Mulligan’s probably should check out you'll see why they were sworn enemies

I listened to this song a few times because I love Colm's stuff all the time, but was only yesterday years old when I actually read the full title and realized this was an Ed Sheeran song. I swear, Colm has the magic touch to make anything sound like an Irish tune from a hundred years ago.
    God, I love this man!

love this song. Reminds me of my family love story of my great great grandfather being the Lord Mayor's son and my great great grandmother being an Irish maid. Back then English and Irish weren't allowed to marry even if there wasn't the gulf of their social status, so they ran off to America to be married.

"Nancy Mulligan" is a love song written and performed by Ed Sheeran, a heartfelt tribute to his Irish grandparents. Released in 2017, it tells the story of Sheeran's grandfather, William, a Protestant from Northern Ireland, and his grandmother, Anne "Nancy" Mulligan, a Catholic from the Republic of Ireland. Their love blossomed during World War II, defying societal divisions caused by their religious backgrounds. The song highlights their determination to be together, echoing the star-crossed love of Romeo and Juliet. Sheeran's evocative lyrics and the traditional Irish instrumentation create an enduring story of love transcending borders and differences.

Sheeran, Ed. "Nancy Mulligan." ÷ (Deluxe). Asylum Records, 2017.

Perfection! I’m finally home (Ireland) and so happy. I was stuck in the states for ages. Missed my cliffs, the glorious view and the people more than an ever thought. I bought all your music while in the states and it made me feel a wee bit less homesick. Cheers for that, mate! You’ve a gift that goes beyond your voice. 💚🍀🍀🍀

    Just looked these up.
    [Verse 1]
    I was twenty-four years old
When I met the woman I would call my own
Twenty-two grand kids now growing old
In that house that your brother bought ya
On the summer day when I proposed
I made that wedding ring from dentist gold
And I asked her father, but her daddy said, "No
    You can't marry my daughter"
    [Chorus]
She and I went on the run
    Don't care about religion
I'm gonna marry the woman I love
    Down by the Wexford border
    She was Nancy Mulligan
    And I was William Sheeran
She took my name and then we were one
    Down by the Wexford border
    [Verse 2]
Well, I met her at Guy's in the second World War
And she was working on a soldier's ward
Never had I seen such beauty before
The moment that I saw her
    Nancy was my yellow rose
And we got married wearing borrowed clothes
We got eight children now growing old
    Five sons and three daughters
    [Chorus]
She and I went on the run
    Don't care about religion
I'm gonna marry the woman I love
    Down by the Wexford border
    She was Nancy Mulligan
    And I was William Sheeran
She took my name and then we were one
    Down by the Wexford border
    [Verse 3]
From her snow white streak in her jet black hair
Over sixty years I've been loving her
Now we're sat by the fire in our old armchairs
You know Nancy, I adore ya
From a farm boy born near Belfast town
I never worried 'bout the king and crown
'Cause I found my heart upon the southern ground
There's no difference, I assure ya
    [Chorus]
She and I went on the run
    Don't care about religion
I'm gonna marry the woman I love
    Down by the Wexford border
    She was Nancy Mulligan
    And I was William Sheeran
