- It's been a long time since I've made a video! Here's what I've been up to.
Welcome to the world of Rockstars and Royalty. I’m Vicky. I have worked as a couture gown, corset and costume designer for over 20 years, initially under my label 'Devotion' in the UK, then as 'Rockstars and Royalty' when I moved to Australia in 2007. During this time I’ve become know for my elaborate couture gowns and costumes, my corsetry skills, and my love of sparkles and embellishments.
In my videos and tutorials I show you how I design and create the extravagant couture gowns, corsets and costumes that I've become known for, how I upcycle and style vintage and pre-loved clothes, and how I create accessories, hair, and make up to style and complete the looks.

Hello! I’m new to your channel. I’m sewing my daughter’s wedding dress and I was so happy to find you. Your corset fitting video was extremely helpful! So I’m here for the learning around gowns, etc. since this is the first time I’ve done a wedding gown and I haven’t done any dresses at all in a few years.

WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!! I've been thinking of you over the past couple of years and was hoping all was ok. The last I saw, was during the big fire by your place and I was hoping you did not get burned out of your home. Glad to hear you were all ok. Congrats on building your new home! That will be so exciting for all of you. Can't wait to see the pieces you've made while gone from YT! Also, I would like to see you make a corset for a plus size person with a zipper in the front and what the considerations would be. I sew myself, but cannot find good patterns for a plus size corset. I'm 47-45-47. I basically look like a fire plug (usa type) Thanks so much!
Thanks Peggy. Between the fires and then covid it was quite a time! Designing and building the house is very exciting. It's been a very long process, but we're almost there! Just a few more months to go. A plus size, zip up corset is a great idea. I'll do some research and see if I can find a good pattern to use as a starting point.

I was wondering what you were up to! You were the first sewing channel I followed - that video of how to swap out a zipper for lacing. Such a good tutorial.

Hi Jacq, I'm very well thanks. Finally bouncing back after the rough few years we've all been through! Miss L is now 13, going on 30! I'll definitely cover decorating the new studio. We can't get on site very often during the build but I'll film what I can when we can get there.
