Gradient Maps are an adjustment layer in Photoshop and used creatively, with a few handy tips, you'll have your photos looking atmospheric and "finished" in seconds, with all the "pop" and "impact" you could ask for 🤓
    Gradient maps are powerful things, and paired with Photoshops blend modes and masks, you have everything you need to take an image from blah to banging, literally.

    This is great! This reminds me of the color grading panel in Lightroom but with a bit more control and masking ability. I would surely like to know which is better to use, liquefy or warp and or when it's best to use each. I did put this in the suggestion box. I know you did some manipulation for your dog/wolf series and am curious as to what you did. My dog has a bit of hair on his back that likes to grow in weird ways and with the photo I took of him at the park I ended up using the liquefy tool. It turned out okay but I think it could have been better. Just recently I gave my dog a hair cut and cut the fur in that area a little shorter in hopes it will grow a bit straighter. I have a Brittany not a Ridgeback, lol. Happy Birthday to this channel. It's awesome!!!

    • @ThatPhotographySpot
      @ThatPhotographySpot  Před 2 lety +1

      I find gradient maps are so much better than the colour grading module in Lightroom, so much more control 😊

    Thanks Jess, this was an interesting video, would you say that when you shoot, you focus most on composition and focus and then in post production you are usually able to create something amazing with every photo in post production?

    • @ThatPhotographySpot
      @ThatPhotographySpot  Před 2 lety

      If it’s composed correctly and the focus is in the right place then it’s easy to create something great 😊

    Jess, I love your videos!!! Yet i would like to leave a bit of critisism if you dont mind. First you say something like "do whatever you want", 2 minutes later you remind people not too fiddle too much with the colour of the coat. Let's be honest, this "do whatever you want" slogan that many pros use is a little bit overrated. Motivating for lazy beginners, yes, but kinda impractical - some stuff just looks bad.
