Proud of Torrie for this performance, she’s starting to find her stride now. You race who is there on the day. If they don’t run to their ability be it from injury, beginning of season, end of season or ego. That isn’t on the winner. Torrie got to line in first place, plain and simple. She’s one of few sprinters we have that can produce under pressure, Caleb Law is another one we have that can, ironically they train together.
Not worried about Sha’Carri…she’ll be fine. Plus I love her natural hair! Keep that SR!!
With boob implants
Nothing to do about her tatooes and breast though.
I was thinking the same, she didn't look good coming out of the blocks ...got a bit of a laugh as she was primpin'.
But the tatooes did not move
Not really aerodynamic that hair
What a scalp for the 19yr old Torrie Lewis regardless of the time!
Nothing about this was “scalp” worthy. She had to damn near break her PB to win.
@@hallelegion9854 she won..that's all what matters
@@philbertgrant3744 Is it? When the times couldn’t dip under 22.8 & she won by 0.03s? Just give her props for the win, but she didn’t scalp anyone.
@@hallelegion9854 she scalped her like an Apache Indian...in Budapest shacarri took shericka scalp.. shericka was the favorite...I'm sure u were cart wheeling then...weren't u?
@@philbertgrant3744 Sha’Carri did scalp Shericka, she won that race with no.5 ALL-TIME mark & CR. A 22.9 that required a photo finish isn’t a scalp babes. How about you get your raggedy ass up and go do something productive instead of bandwagoning ANY girl that beats Sha’Carri.
Congratulations Torri Lewis of Australia .A win is a win,is a win.
19, 1st time Diamond Leaguer, in Lane 9/10?, and takes down not only a giant, but all 5 🇺🇸 sprinters. SR said she wasn't used to starting the season late, but she's been pro since 2019. Regardless, Lewis deserves her flowers for being so young, and not cracking on a big stage!
Lewis has run multiple races, she just qualified for aussie Olympic team, meanwhile it was Sha'Carri first race of the year. It was Lewis race to lose she better beat fresh legs are she would really look like azz. Smh lol flowers for the win but she want make it out of first round with that time
@@HEAVYCHEVY409was Lewis's race to lose? It's not your race to lose if you're in the outside lane 😂😂.
@@HEAVYCHEVY409 are you making excuses for the sprinter who is currently the darling of the sprint community’s eye? Do you believe Lewis was on anyone’s map? Did you hear what Coleman said about SR yesterday? Pls. Let’s Lewis have her moment.
U ain't a Giant til u win an Olympic gold medal
@@HEAVYCHEVY409she’s Vinny’s run a big pb this year for sure prob like 22.6/22.5 for but I agree still won’t be a threat to make it out first as of now
Congrats Australia!!! I think runners are putting on a good show for the Diamond League events but avoiding unnecessary injury before the Olympics.
I could be wrong, but some times I feel like these early races are just a "lemme see where i'm at and get my legs warmed up for this long season" kinda thing for most athletes. Especially olympic season
You’re right that’s exactly what it is, runners at Sha’Carri level know what they are doing, they strategize at this stage in the game. It’s too early in the season to do the most & often times their coach will advise them not to overdue it at races like this, as to not cause injury. Ppl forget that she is doing intense training outside of these races, no need to go All out when the Olympics is the main goal at the end of the day.
I think you are correct
Torrie, at her young age, has the potential to be the leading force among the established front-runners. She will become even faster as time goes on. Go Torrie!
It seems the times in the women's 200m in this meeting are usually slow, because even with this race the meeting record was broken. So these times are normal
Victoria Cameron ran an identical time in the 100 meter race that Richardson got at the ago a little while ago😎🥸 By the time that Cameron gets to Richardsons age she will destroy Richardsons current time in the 100 meter race❤🙂 Aria Pearce, Mia Brahe-Pedersen and Abby Steiner are people to watch out for in the 100 also. Male runners to look out for are Coby Hilton, Tanner Adams, Cole Beck and Dylan Randall🙂😎🥳
Sha Carri, love the fro. Kickin it old school. ❤
It looks great ❤
I’m most impressed that ShaCarri showed a lot of stamina/endurance. Previous years S.R. would have faded hard in the last 30-40 meters. S.R. just barely finished 2nd to an Australian who was fully peaked for the Aussie National Championships. S.R. did well, and I love that hair.
Last year this time she ran almost a whole second faster and close to sub 22 at the Kip Keino classic. Something about the altitude difference may be why the time improvement.
@@edwardjones717FALSE. Kenya was mid May. Botswana was her 200m season opener and it was end of April, she lost but with a faster time of 22.5. So this race is a week early. I am going to wait till Shanghai, and she would’ve been in China for a week so probably wouldn’t be as jet-lagged before I get worried. If she runs anything less than 22.5 (win or lose) then she’s ok.
Congrats Torie Lewis! Keep it up! Jamaican blood in there!
😂😊 ok fam.
Not me actively looking for a trp video 😂😂😂
Did anyone notice that there were 7 other women in this race…all faster than Torrie on paper….she should have come last, or middle of the pack at best, for a 19yr old junior, in her first DL, arriving with one day before the meet and running in lane 9, to hold her nerve in a stacked field…Richardson would not have wanted to get beaten by her in any way shape or form…🤷🏻♀️
Sha' Carri will be fine she didn't look worried. Love the natural hair. 👌🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿✌🏿😍😍😍😍
Congrats to the winner I'm Still rocking with Carrie Richardson long is she in the Winner's Circle I'm good with that
Sha'Carri lost her first 200m race last year too. We all know how the season ended.
*Sha' Carri's hair style makes all the statement people need to know, she's just here to run, win or lose, she's just starting her season in her worst event.*
Sha'Carri was lost in the vain pursuit of getting her nappy hair ready for the cameras when she didn't even win the race. No class.
Maybe she is done with the cultural appropriation
@@bagginshatesreally!?
She's a clown.... someone needs to properly teach her how to be professional..
Sounds like an excuse to me lol
Despite the disappointing race, Sha’carri looks so much better now, she has really matured.
She arrived close to 23 was this like a warm up run or something where they didn't want her to go too fast?
As always amazing content. I see Sha’ Carri with her new natural hair striding to gold in Paris!!!
The commentators and Sha’carri seemed to have missed the flying Aussie in lane 9. Great scalp Torrie, might not happen again so enjoy and your hair was looking great.
❤😂😂
Sha'Carri is a living doll.
ShaCarri looks beautiful with her natural hair yet it used to be said to pull or braid the hair for the actual race because of “aerodynamic” reasons. ShaCarri time is usually less than 22.4 (and that time was in the rain, I believe). If her shoulders and neck tighten as the wind hits her hair, that resistance may have caused a bit of hesitance in her sprint.
The afro must have slowed Sha Carri down and I ❤ the look. Cheering for her all the way to Paris
OMG! Sha'Carri's natural hair! Absolutely love it!
Please tell me y’all weren’t also disappointed in the men’s 100 times and women’s 200m times I thought they were gonna be faster
It's Xiamen China, look up the air quality.
Olympics games are in 3 months, it's too early!
@@aredditor4272that's not the problem Coleman has ran 9.83 last year there. The thing is that it's only April the athletes are not in their best shape and probably training very heavy. Also they ran into a headwind and the track was still wet.
@@TheoOJamaloO1 to be fair as far as your argument, some world records and close to WR have already been set this year.
Maybe your theories of wind and water are more to blame.
@@aredditor4272But those world records are in field events, where athletes tend to be able to sustain their peaks longer and withstand much more competitions. It’s not as rare for strong field events performances this early, but the professional sprinters rarely run particularly fast by April. Still, 10.1 is slow even with that in mind. Sometimes meets are just slow.
Tori Lewis just finished Australia’s nationals so she was in peak shape . This is important context . She’s in peak shape while everyone else is rusty, in addition Australia is closer to the same time zone as this part of China.
Tamara Clark ran 22.21 three weeks before and Anavia Battle ran 22.56 two weeks before, with both of them running indoors aswell, Anthonique Strachan had also run indoors, so not sure how they are rusty
Y'all forget she's getting a few races in before paris she's not trying to hurt herself before. That's part of being a athlete you work yourself but in the fold slowly not rushing cause that's how you get injuries or season ending one's but I think she'll be fine.
Sha'Carri was 1800-Jogging. She was just there to fulfill sponsors obligations. Nothing else. Not taking anything away from Torrie though. Just coming off her national champs (very early in the season for the rest of the world), she was in career best shape, and had nothing to lose, running from lane 9. A win is a win, so good on her. Sha'Carri will find a second on this time though, come August.
I love the fro!! Shacarri looks amazing!!!
Been watching your channel for awhile now good job. Thanks
Ok, so in the middle of watching this video my mind began to go in a different direction. This morning, I saw the race and thought this start and the start in Budapest are the absolute worst I’ve ever seen from ShaCarri in the 200M, and although I think she only lost because she couldn’t see Lewis in lane nine approaching (just like I feel she failed to qualify in 2022 for the exact same reasons), I was also a bit disappointed to see she still looks so fatigued in the final 50 with her knees dropped, etc.
THEN, while watching this, I began to think perhaps she did use this race for training purposes to see how she would fare if she didn’t have such a great bend (as usual), and whether she could catch folks from behind. That part, she did well here. The more I think of it, ShaCarri almost always runs the 200M from the front, and doesn’t have much experience running folks down. In any event, whatever happened, she is clearly focused on 200M fitness this year and I hope she gets it.
By the way, MAN, Christian Coleman impressed me big time today! He had that slow start (although it set up his race well), but still pulled away from Kerley and held his lead? WOW…he’s definitely fixing his problem, and I’m now beginning to think he may be the man to beat in Paris!
I agree with the sha' cari analysis..the season has just started....Coleman looks real good!
@@onestick1614 thanks, and right (?), I don’t think many realize how amazing Coleman’s execution was today and what it says about his training! I know Sha’Carri will pull it together…I just hope she doesn’t wait too late to pull it all out. Either way, I’m quite certain the top Jamaicans are slow right now also, because they usually are, and it would be smart if properly peaking. I almost feel the early 10.5 from Sha’Carri hindered her from running such a time in Budapest late season.
Wow 😮what a race and win for the 19 yr old! Congrats 🎉 beating great runners!
Early season race
This promises to be an exciting season for track and field.
That was accidental. Runners in the middle did not notify the runner in the 9th lane. Further that was just a warming up for Sha Cari.
I luv you Sha Carrie! Will be watching you!
Amazing 19 year old Torrie Lewis of AUS! The rest all within .04 of each other. Very close. Sha'Carri needs to light the jets just a tad sooner -- keep in mind this is 200M. Still an awesome run and it's nice to see SCR's real hair!
I read Tori Black, I think I'm at the wrong video 😅
Come back in 15 minutes. You'll be straight.
I read Torie Bowie, may she rest in peace
Solid first race for the teen sensation 🔥
The others just warming up... it's a long ass season.
Watch Sha'Carri's form, she was more cruising than in full-on race mode.
And the excuses are here already. I guess everyone else was cruising too?
Yeah I saw that. She was practically walking. She could’ve gone 21,6 easily if she tried and ran through the line.
Blah blah blah...cruising yet still she dipped at the line..she bearly held on for second.😅
dipped at the line still. This race was slow af.
Sha cari needs to focus more on running ,and stop showing off with the different hair styles .
I am not a Sha'carri apologist, but I hope eveyone realizes she slowed down at the end.
Bc she realized the girl was ahead..she jus lost & we jus wanting on the next race.any country lost next
You would think she’d keep an eye on lane 9. She’s had experience with that. Just sayin’. 😊
I said the same thing, she slowed down at the end of the race
@@whop7941you think she could see her 😂

Love Sha'carri's new look
Camacho-Quinn is such a unit - she has a slow start all the time but just continues to power and accelerate the entire race. Very atypical build for a hurdler but she's so strong
As is Hansle Parchment on the mens 110's
They r both such locomotive engines every single race, smh

Sha'Carri is looking gorgeous as usual!😀🔥💖🎆🌋👑
if you like arm pictures.
Them folks should have NEVER treated her badly on that airplane. Since that day, her STYLE & CRAFT has been top notch! ❤😊
hmm! pretty sure that's not how it happened on the plane. Anyway, Shacarri's growing up
@@stevecrocker6904 since your pretty sure how it DIDN'T HAPPEN - please enlightened us on how it DID. ( Whisper) Steve's gonna avoid a clear answer on this question. 🤔
Lets be honest, that was a slow time for professional women runners. Girls in high school have ran faster than 22.96 in the 200M. Allyson Felix ran a 22.11 in high school
this was just one race. No-one is peaking - they were having a hit-out
We should not say things to undermine Torri amazing win as 19 older. The sky is the limit for her. I am impressed with Australian capabilities in all the departments of sports even though they have very small population.
She's gonna be star both in the 100 and her favourite 200m.
Sha Carri was starting to slow down is like a planned race something ain’t right
Torrie Lewis !! I cannot determine if she is metis.totally unknown .
Lane 9 !! 5th position 40 meters from finish line. And maybe ran the race of her life.i checked , this poor time is her best when all others she defeated will run sub 22.10 soon .Bravo
Did Sha'Carri kind let up just before the finish line?
Get set position. And Finally yet AGAIN !
Yes she did..
She did. It's hard to see the outside lane. I'm sure she thought she had the win and let up. But I'm sure she won't do that again. But it bothered me that it seemed that only a few of the runners congratulated Lewis.
@@m.ltucker4314Richardson should know about lane 9 😊. I agree about the lack of grace from most of the runners. Only the Swiss runner hugged her. Richardson gave a smile and “good run” as she passed but no handshake even.
😂😂😂😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣
Sha’Carri Richardson always slows down when she gets close to the finish line
Richardson’s form looked different from normal
Big up all track and field fans
The summer season has ended in Australia, but for Richardson the season has not yet started
But they all are aiming for Paris in under 100 days
@@frankchan5547that’s an eternity in track and field the should peak in July August.
Those women are tired!! I'm sure they did their best for the moment. Being an athlete is very hard work so my hat goes off to all of them on both sides!!!
Sha Carri, didn't appear to be putting forth any effort in the final 50 meters of the race. Once she caught up to and passed TT, it looks as if she just shut it down.
Sha’Carri will be good. She wasn’t even at top speed towards the end. You can see she was in cruise control, while the rest were giving everything. Season is early so let’s not get ahead of ourselves 😆
this might be Torrie's first international showing. At just 19 she's taken the Aussie 100m record to 11.10 this year - so not up there with the big international sprinters, but she's on the up and up. Will be good to watch her for a few years to come. It's always fascinating to see how athletes do or don't progress
Great video
Shacarri looks fine ,not everything is a title
Congrats Torrie...
Congrats to all AUA girls & ALLNthe competitors...
That is one beautiful woman I love Her natural hair God has blessed her with beauty and Physical body
Or, just a thought. In the woman's 200m, the "gear" a lot of runners were on last year is now detectable and they had to back off early with the Olympics coming. Just a thought.
She slowed up. Congrats to Torrie.
Olympics are coming soon. I’m pretty sure Richardson was holding back the juice. We will see how it plays out though, when the time comes.

Awesome run Torrie!
TORRIE LEWIS CAN STILL COMPETE IN PERU U/20 CHAMPIONSHIPS Shes only 19 yrs
Let's compare her with her peers .

2 years ago she was injured at World u/20 championships
When Tina Clayton won the title . SHE OBVIOUSLY BECAME FASTER SINCE THEN

A strange race; most of the U.S. athletes ran slower than they did as juniors. Without a doubt traversing multiple time zones had an effect. With all of that said, a win is a win...congrats to Torrie.
OH GOSH Shakari, you look the best you ever looked in the Afro.
I totally agree. I don't understand why Did Sha 'Carri Richardson slow down?

You deserve to be proud. Athletics is about local heroes. All a person has to do to please me is lead their nation and then represent their nation well.
I only count the time my countrymen crosses the line.
Australia deserves to feel her champion is like no other. All nations must feel that way to keep athletics relevant and breathing.

To early in the season to be worried about anything, Sha’Carri knows what she’s doing, same approach as last year✌🏾
NOT WORRIED, you guys need to realize they have a very , very long season. and as we saw Sha'Carri doesnt do too well with long seasons which is why she said she's taking a different approach to this season I wouldn't e surprised if she just really got her training started. her form is off, arms are too wide, no leg lift which means heavy weight training
