As a Pensacola native, it’s always sad for us to see the Blues transition to El Centro, but I’ll be watching #3 when they return home. May God bless and protect your son.

I'm glad that Lnt. Amanda Lee is still with the team a documentary called Blue Angels a year in the life, I found out from the documentary series that I saw from the Military Channel on tv when I was little.
I remembered they mentioned that a pilot that is Blue Angel number 3 for his first year, he gets a second year but is transferred to Blue Angel number 4.
I was really hoping if Amanda Lee would still be on the team, but if she would transition to Blue Angel number 4. And I was right, it will also be cool for her to be in the middle position of the entire team. When they're all together in a Delta formation, of course she will be behind Blue Angel number 1 in the Delta formation.
And of course she will be known as the slot pilot, because she will fill in the slot position in the diamond formation

I spent several years in the Navy Reserves. I was in a fuel unit. Went all over the country and world repairing fuel systems and doing maintenance on systems. We loved going to El Centro in winter time. Didn't get to fuel the Blue Angels but sure loved the two flights a day practice over the airfield.

Blue Angel #7 is a Maine native growing up in Freeport, 2 towns over from where I grew up. Maybe in 2025 he will be able to perform at the former Brunswick Navy base. I know the Thunderbirds will be there this year for The Great State of Maine Airshow.

Amanda STALIN Lee got promoted to LCDR and moved to #4 Slot. This makes her the Team Safety Officer as well because the slot is the best place to observe and critique the basic Diamond and Delta formations.

Another year without a USMC representative flying in position 2-6, or 7 narrator, or 8 NFO. Are the Blues no longer having a USMC pilot as part of the demonstration team other than Fat Albert?
Competition for places this year was, apparently exceptionally intense. I've no doubt a marine will pop up in the team eventually, but since a lot of their pilots now fly the F35B, it takes something to transition to the hornet. It can be done, of course, as Major Frank Zastopil did a while back, but for now we have to content ourselves with their wonderful flight maenouvres in Albert.

What is Amanda's callsign she keeps calling out? I know it was Stalin when she was the Rhino Demo pilot, sounds like she's saying Push or Puss.
It is still Stalin. She was calling out her airspeed and the saying "Push". So Pushpop in the #5 knows her speed for landing.
her CS is "Stalin"....she's calling out her air speed when landing to the #5 pilot behind her "Push Pop"
kind of makes me wonder if her call sign isn't "Stallin"...as in, 'you're stalling'. Just sayin'. Great to see them back in El Centro!
@YurrickLamhfhada As others have replied Lt Amanda Lee is STALIN. She is calling out her airspeed to the aviator behind her- Lcdr Griffin Stangel PUSHPOP or PUSH for short. For 2024 Stalin has moved to #4 Slot and Pushpop has moved to #5 lead solo.
