All New 2019 BMW 330i xDrive Review: A Segment Leader Again?

The latest BMW 3-Series is here! The 7th gen, codenamed G20, is a lighter, stiffer and more fuel efficient car than the previous generation. The 3 Series has a long been a staple of the BMW lineup and with so many competitors in this compact executive sedan space, does the BMW still have a rightful spot on the podium? I've been lent the keys to the latest 330i, a twinscroll turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, with the xDrive AWD system, to find out. This 330i featured in this video has the M-Sport package and plenty of optional equipment included.
So what is there to say about to all new 330i xDrive? Watch the review to find out!

Love this color! I configured a 330i xDrive as I would like it and definitely can't even remotely afford one new @$50K. Will wait to buy a CPO in a few years, even a 340i it comes down sufficiently. The G70 3.3T is another one I am looking at.

great point on the stop start system...way too sensitive!
Glad to hear they can now steer and handle again. I still prefer them with the straight six. I am also not sure about the look of those new gauges, otherwise looks really good.
The more I watch it the more I love it, at start I didn't like it because of the interior change but now I think it is THE CAR in the D segment. I am curious what MB will bring in 2025.

I just exchange my 2015 320d for a 330i M Sport in this colour. It’s a big step up in refinement, handling etc. And I didn’t think the previous one was all that bad.

I tested the M550i when it had summer tires attached so to compare the road noise between that car and the winter wheeled 330i wouldn’t be the fairest comparison. But honestly, both are stellar!
TheDriveGuyde thanks for responding! It’s great to know that you think both are stellar. I’ll be deciding between M340i and M550i this summer. A tough call as both have their unique strengths.
I think you should wait until the M340i shows up! Unless, of course, you need to get into a new car soon. Hopefully, I'll test out that car in the future
TheDriveGuyde oh absolutely! I’m patiently waiting for M340i. Rumors are that M550i will be upgraded to 530hp this summer for the 2020 models. Both cars will be released around August. I hope and wish that you post reviews of both! :)) looking forward to your M340i review. Thanks!

These are extremely beautiful cars. I would buy one if I had enough money, but I don't know why, for some reasons, I read a lot of bad things about BMW. I mean, a lot. And I don't know why.

Hey Mr. Landi, Are you sure you’re making the kind of money doing this as you could be making being a Voice Narrater, and or Model? I realize we do what we LOVE to do is most important.

6:40 why is every car journalist complaining to BMW about this!? If you did a little research you would know that the smartphone key works with NFC. iPhones don't have NFC. Simple as that.
Filip TM iPhones do have NFC, but Apple has restricted the use of NFC for Apple Pay only. Besides that, I find the “unlock your car with your phone”-feature to be the most useless “innovation” ever. With keyless entry, why would you bother taking your phone out of your pocket? Now were just going backwards.
I hate how the most desirable model, the M340i, has the worse front grille.

At that price range it should have an inline 6.
@M M I have no interest in how efficient they are, they sound like shit. Which is why I would never buy a car with a 4 cylinder.
True, but these G20s are beautifully made. After test driving the horrible Lexus IS350, and the fun Alfa, even with the 4 cylinder, it drove and sounded better than the Lexus V6. I'm with you, six cylinder BMWs sound beautiful. However, you'd be surprised by the new 4 cylinder.
