True. Also the fact that he was born knowing that he has this disorder that can kill him in the near future. But then he survived.
He is literally one of the best characters. Also literally why Parks and Rec became a better show overall.
He has high-functioning depression, he's relatable for so many people. He's my fave character in Parks. Bo Jack is rightfully highlighted as an accurate representation of depression in tv/film but he's pretty cruel to his friends. I don't know anyone with depression who's that cruel, usually they're super nice, just very sad. Sometimes you get a gem like Chris, who's trying so enthusiastically not to collapse into nothingness. He's very self-aware. Great representation.

The fact that Ben and Chris depicted two different ways of handling their depression makes me glad.
Ben, Chris and Andy were all depressed at some point and dealt with it in different ways, and I really appreciate the show for it.

It's make you the opposite of who you usually are. Andy is usually jolly and became sullen, while Ben is usually calm and calculated and became sporadic and impulsive, painfully accurate

Uhmmmm, none of this still showed SEVERE crippling suicidal depression when you can't crawl out of your bed, eat, sleep, function, do anything. So how about not throwing this word around. Yes, they had some form of depression/anxiety which was still shown in a humorous shallow way as this is comedy.

It’s so weird…Adam Scott’s delivery of “Is she going to powder her vagina?” was so funny in the out takes that neither him or Aziz could get through the take without breaking. I personally think he delivered it less funny on purpose so that the the two of them could get through it and finally have a usable take.

Ben grew up to be my favorite character on the show. Adam Scott is SO talented - his delivery is golden, no wonder why he is in several of these clips.

There’s a lot of scenes missing in this video but it shows how Parks and Rec is a masterpiece.
