~Tapping into Your Potential Where Others Saw None~ - Hudba
People for decades said they were more than just friends. Around the time of his death I saw a documentary on them and she said they never went there because they didn't want to ruin the friendship they had. The chemistry was real between them but they never allowed it to go too far.
Such a perfect song to describe a deep friendship.
I teared up a bit when I heard Dolly talking about when Kenny passing. And this song is a sad and happy reminder about the legends who've passed in recent years.
This is such a precious song. Brings tears to my eyes.
Thank you Van. Been requesting this for a while. Isn’t this beautiful.
The day Kenny passed away, Dolly posted this on all her social media with a special message.
RIP Kenny Rogers 3.20.2020. He'll greet her at the Gate with St. Peter.
That was an excellent review. Thank you!
To watch their past live performances…Dolly picking on Kenny, making him laugh with her giggles! They had a blast!
How could they not make you 😊
Both treasures
She actually had a breast reduction. they were the best of friends, from the beginning. It was heart breaking when he passed. Two beautiful souls who were able to find each other and spend a lifetime together.
That was after she had implants that were causing her much pain. Not that there's anything wrong with implants or whatever.
I still miss Kenny! If you haven’t reacted to “Islands In The Stream” I recommend it! It was written by the BeeGees.
I have requested this from so many. I watched it again right after Kenny died. It was different watching it then! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanks, for reacting to this video. Dolly and Kenny may have had the best "duet friendships", ever.
What a sweet song. Her vocals are so pure. Two legends. 🥰
Dolly & Kenny were always a joy to watch together!🥰 I love Dolly
This makes me cry and touches my heart. It hit really different when I heard it again right after he passed
To have a a TRUE Friendship is very rare!!!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL THING 😘😘😘
Both legends!!!!!
My dad once told me that Kenny Rogers had perfect pitch, what an amazing blessing.
I love their blend! It takes me back (Islands in the Stream) to Saturday mornings cleaning house before we could watch cartoons! Lol
Oh, & the way you’re talking about Dolly Parton is cracking me up!
I discovered the podcast Dolly Parton's America when we were stuck at home during COVID. Lots of tidbits and history to better understand and inform about her music and life
🔥🔥 two of my favorites,, there's a great video of Dolly singing a duet with Kenny that he did with Sheena Easton called We've got tonight,,, it's a great live concert video and they have some jokes with each other after the song!!
THIS IS 🔥. PERIOD.
❤️❤️❤️ this. My 1st time hearing. So beautiful 🌈
They knew the true meaning of friendship and I believe this is the last video they did together
I love both and have listened to both their songs and I am in tears!! Love their voices and the kind hearted they. Are.
They we're definitely a one of a kind couple of friends that sang together ❤️ perfectly, R.I.P. Thank You Van for your reaction hope you have a blessed day 🙏
She had to tell Kenny she would not sing at is wake, can't imagine how hard that was to say.
True love in friendship! 💖 each incredible, and together..amazing!
Rip Kenny 🙏🏻 thank you for this reaction. 💕
Aw, so glad you like this song. I've loved this song, a beautiful song, for some time now. 🙂✨️
This was so beautiful. It made me cry in a good way.
This is a beautiful song, I'm glad you've brought it to my attention. I haven't heard it before. I love your channel, your reactions are so genuine. Something a little different, I would love to see your reaction to Billy Strings, Turmoil and Tinfoil.
Thank you for reminding me of this song. I just sent it to my best friend of over 40 years. She lives over 500 miles away. We talk regularly and take trips together without hubbies or anyone!
Deep shiite. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
It is so sad that in two parts, Kenny is the first to sing 'what will I do when you're gone' and he's the first to go and then he sings 'when St-Peter opens the gates and Dolly sings in 'and you come walking in' and both sing , 'I'll be there just waiting for you' ... it's amazing. This song gets me everytime and brings me to tears every time. RIP Dear Kenny. Here is Dolly's reaction to Kenny's passing, which she found out through the media. How she held it together, I'll never know, but it must have been hell for her. czcams.com/video/KoGV77HEwKs/video.html
Makes me wish I had more home movies and videos with those old friends who have been gone so long. I am all that's left of my crew, the 60's and 70's were a lot of fun but a lot of great people lost too soon. Sorry for the downer but if you still are lucky enough to have old friends. Reach out.
I cried since he passed away 😢 but it was SO sweet!
That was the sweetest thing I have seen in a while! Thanks my inspirational friend!
Such a beautiful, meaning song
Did this just seriously make me cry??!!!
The video is a tribute to Kenny Rogers after he passed away. Tears every time.
Actually it's Kenny Rogers waiting for Dolly Parton at the gates of Heaven.
That moved me so that I can't think clearly enough to write without sliding into hyperbole. Great song, thank you for posting this one.
Hellish part of getting old...you start losing those old friends
Aaww!!!😍😍😿😿
There's NOTHING that you're staring at that Dolly don't want you staring at . . . . .
He did this not more than a year before he died. They were friends for over 30 yrs
The interview? The song was years before his March 2020 death. Kenny released it Oct. 2013, on his album of the same name & Dolly released it on her 2014 album, Blue Smoke. It got them a 2014 Grammy nomination, for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
It was almost like a prophecy for what would happen. Now she really is out there on the stage without anyone to join in those harmony parts just like the song says. Because he died first and she’s still performing on.
Thank you for being real
Love love love your reaction! Always loved their chemistry. They truly loved one another and were the best of friends ❤
Not sure if you have checked out duets from Barbara Streisand & Barry Gibb yet, but you need to listen to these 2 from them, "What Kind of Fool" & "Guilty"
I've been to a Kenny Rogers concert at Foxwoods about 20 years ago.
So glad dolly has this to look back on, with the death of icon Kenny Roger's 💕❣️❣️
My heart is still broken over loosing Kenny Rogers.
I love Kenny Roger … and Dolly Parton ….
Sweet Music Man is his best
Much appreciate your reaction.

Great reaction
Really good, faithful friends are very hard hard to find. I have needed some of mine recently but they haven't been there. I have already been a true friend back. This is a beautiful song. Done by two of my favorites 0
You should check out Kenny Rogers and the First Edition doing "Tell It All Brother"
I love Kenny and Dolly!!. Another great dou was Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. If you get an opportunity you should do a reaction video of "You're the reason our kids are ugly". thank you for your reaction videos they're great!!
Watch them sing We’ve got tonight. It is a great video!
💙💙💙💙
Dolly had said this song was hard for her to do she had to do a few retakes because shed start crying
After 4 little girls were murdered in 1964 Nina Simone wrote and sang a song called "Mississippi God damn..... Please react to it....it will blow your mind. She was a woman of such courage.
Now fo Dolly and Jim Stafford 'spiders and snakes'.
I honestly don't think Dolly would get mad at you for finding her sexy.
I'm fairly sure that's what you mean.
You need to react to USA for Africa. Incredible!!!
They were amazing together. This song makes me cry. By the way, Dolly said she paid a million dollars for her breast’s lol so I don’t think she minds people noticing 😊
Have you heard Islands in the Stream yet? When you look that one up you might also find Love is Strange, that is a Mickey and Sylvia song, it was featured in Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey's movie, Dirty Dancing. You Should skip Dolly and Kenny's version of it, and and get on CZcams for the original black-and-white video on, I think, topknots Channel...
if you don't know who they [ Mickey and Sylvia ] are, then you don't know that Sylvia Robinson was the Godmother of Hip Hop, may she rest in peace, proud of what she's done. Started Sugar Hill records, Sugar Hill Gang and what came after.... look up the Godmother of hip-hop story. It is on CZcams also, I checked to make sure, but I don't know how to send you a link to something that's already on CZcams when I'm on CZcams commenting.
Speaking of songs redone, you've heard Elvis do Hound Dog by now, right? Well, but have you ever heard Big Mama Thornton sing it? Coz she did it first. And she made it an R&B hit with the Johnny Otis band. OMG you got to hear that dude! you got to hear it!
How about Billy Preston? he broke traditions in the beginning, he had a strap on keyboard and would dances/step and " Willy go round in circles", and later he did "With You I'm Born Again done with Syreeta Wright and others? How about Bobby Day, Rockin' Robin? You know about Chuck Berry My Ding-a-Ling and Go Johnny Go. I saw him in concert and met him backstage with my little brother who sneaked in and I went to find him cuz he said he was going to.
And you know bout Sister Rosetta Tharpe, right? She started in the '30s & 40s, before anybody ever thought of rockin' a guitar that way, damn, that's 90 years ago! You can find some very old footage online. www.blackhistory.com/2019/08/sister-rosetta-tharpe-black-woman-invented-rock-roll.html?m=1 when you get there you'll see other stuff don't rely solely on CZcams. I guess because it's so old. I do believe she did invent rock and roll. Because The oldest real, Negro rhythm and blues [-> rock and roll] I know of, are two black guys that did a song called Mercury '49. It wasn't even called rock and roll though until Alan Friedman, a disc jockey called it that... but he got that term from some ("colored") peeps he heard using it. My cataracts are tired, I'm'onna go now.
I bet he is waiting for her.
Dem Knockers....
Please listen to a Kenny Rogers song goodbye
Listen to jolene. Great song
Are those things real 😳?
Fantastic song. But why do you often have a hat inside?? Is it so cold there??
How to contribute $ to request a song reaction?
You know why Dolly's feet are so small? Because nothing grows in the shade.
"always propped up"... dude, when you've got huge breasts you're not propping them up for looks. You have no idea how much discomfort and pain they can cause a woman. My mom had huge breasts, with the bra digging into her and the back pain from lugging all that weight around. I know women who got breast reductions because it was so painful. Not to mention men leering at you as though that's all you're looking for is that kind of attention. It's not like you can hide them. I know you didn't mean to be offensive and I'm not taking it that way. Just letting you know the way it is.
Dude!! Soooo inappropriate
