Hello!
Where can i see the costum pcbs?
To download and order them
Also what is that you put on the wheel for the buttons?
You can find the PCBs in the description of my previous video, the thing I put behind the wheel for the buttons is called a USB joystick board
Hello how is it compared to wheels like Logitech g29 and thrusmaster t300rs gt? And is it worth making or should I go for wheel like Logitech g29?
I don't know how it compares because I never tried one, it's for sure much more powerful and has better feedback.
I would suggest you wait a month or so because I'm working on a new Direct drive steering wheel using a hoverboard motor. That wheel will cost around 200$ and will be miles better than any entry level wheel on the market with 15nm of torque and all the DD feedback details
@@DAZprojects oh that's great but I also wanted to know are the worth making and does software give issues?
@@Sardify this one honestly no, even though I'm having so much fun and I already got some farely good times like a 1:22:251 in Monza with a rss formula hybrid 2023. The hoverboard one, also looking at cost, makes way more sense to build, I can't speak for software yet but the open source firmware "ffbeast" has a huge community and shouldn't give any issues. As for performance this one is good, but not great. The hoverboard one will be much much smoother, and the DD construction will give every bit of detail you can find in 500$+ DD steering wheel
@@Sardify if you have the skills I think you're better of building one with a hoverboard motor, otherwise get a good entry lever DD wheel. Going for the g29 I think isn't a good option because it will cost basically the same, or even more for a wheel you will want to upgrade as soon as you get good at sim racing. Building your own will get you a much more premium feeling being DD and 15nm vs the ~5nm of the Logitech
hii really impressed by your project. can you try 100% ffb as in logitech wheels there is cranky noise due to gears and i see you used planetary gear to increase torque so do you feel the cranky noise on full ffb settings?
On full FFB settings the wheel is just too powerful and it's unusable, anyway there's not any strange noise coming from the gearbox, just a bit of extra friction and a bit of backlash
Anyway I'm now working on a much cheaper and higher quality direct drive wheel with a hoverboard motor
@@Sardify Wait to see my future project on a ffb direct drive wheel based on a hoverboard motor, it's much cheaper and should provide 15nm, you can just dial down the settings and get 3nm
hi
i wanted to know how i could reduce the rpms as im not using any gearbox just the main output
