I'd like to differ bc i've been a jongwoo simp since pre-debut black level (jan 2022) but totally competing against pd is hard, feels like i've find my people 🙏
i remember when everyone wasn’t expecting the line up for this group, but they work so well together every member has a distinct role in the group. im truly happy with the freedom they have, which led to this beautiful album and music video. in a recent video with kangnam tag pushed really hard for ‘must be nice’ to be the title track which I think which i think was a great choice. I think tag really knows the & understands members colors. im so excited for what they have in store, and i can’t wait for their live stages.
ps. jongwoo was actually a speed skater(?) so that may be one of the reasons why he can dance so beautifully.
In fact, Tag said that Kangnam wanted them to debut with another song (G.O.A.T. I assume) but he insisted soooo much with Must Be Nice that Kangnam ended up giving up and agreeing. I really love this anecdote, it shows how involved Tag is in all of this, and also how much Kangnam trusts his talent and view 💘
Now that pd pointed it out, this is probably why i felt nostalgic not only from the music, the mv felt nostalgic, IT WAS BECAUSE IT FELT LIKE A 3RD GEN MV
The grip this group has on me is unbelievable.....I really hope their company gives them the support they need to reach the level of popularity that they are capable of reaching

the authenticity and personal touch that comes with a smaller company and i think just the personalities of the members makes them that much better. They upload and also do live broadcasts a lot where they're just dancing in the practice room, or you can tell they turned on the camera with no prior conversation. And tag's strong spirit and musical passion just shines through so well. I'm glad so many people are showing onepact love.
seongmin has grown so much since to1, i loved him in bright and cute concepts and seeing how he has become so versatile now is insane
My most awaited reaction! One Pact's debut is easily the most memorable debut for me from 2023. And the fact that they came practically at the end of the year with the a sound totally unexpected of a debut song nowadays just highlights how totally unique this group is. I myself was surprised with how quick I found myself stanning One Pact, but with how individually unique the member line up is and how all 5, vastly talented young men, found a way to merge harmoniously to produce a distinctive color, I guess it is easy to understand. They got so much talent in store and it makes me so excited to see what they will unleash down the line.
For me the most interesting thing in that song is the fact, that only Jay's parts have english lyrics mixed with korean lyrics. Rest of the members sing only in korean

I can always trust you PD to appreciate talent and very damn good music. One Pact is so incredibly ambitious to do this for their debut. Did it pay off? Absolutely. Having the freedom to do whatever tf they want for their album and music is something you don't see in kpop a lot unless they're already veterans in the industry, but trust One Pact to prove us why a rookie like them has that much power. I've been waiting for a group like this ❤
My favorite song of theirs is Loading... Tag's voice is SO satisfying to listen to
i never imagined that there could be such a perfect line up in a group like what happened with onepact. the fact that kangnam trusted jongwoo to put together this group and he did it with excellence was a gift for all of us, onepact was literally a gift for us who waited so long for the debut of those who hasn’t been made justice for a long time. this debut was one of the best ive heard since I entered kpop 10 years ago, and im sure it’ll be my favorite song this year. the combination of these members really forms the avangers of this new generation, we have members in all positions and who do this with excellence, each member in this group makes it even more special. definitely the creation of onepact was one of the best things that happened in the lately.
Watching these One Pact reactions makes me realize I need to hand over my spot as #1 Jongwoo simp, because that title goes to PD. We love the Jongwoo love! Also, while I absolutely love this album with my whole heart, and Tag literally became my biaswrecker because of these incredible songs, I’m really excited to see what this group can do when more members get involved in the writing and production! I know it’s a goal for Jongwoo to have all the members more involved and I can’t wait to see what they do in the future. I’m so excited and proud to follow them!

I understand all his expressions in the video, because in each new scene I felt the same way, Jongwoon was incredible in his dances, he killed it a lot, I was simply incredulous because they were incredible, TAG is perfect, a genius, I'm very anxious to what comes more from the group under his production, and everyone else showed me so much talent, my pick in BP was Jay and Jongwoon, but seeing the talent of each one after this debut made me want to follow this group even more, which for me it was the best of the year, i'm so happy

I'm so happy to see this reaction to ONE PACT. I haven't been a KPOP fan long, so I can't comment on the earlier generations, but I can say ONE PACT is definitely different. TBH, I didn't vibe with the song until I listened to it more. I actually loved GOAT, but I'm glad TAG pushed for his song to be the TT. He's so freaking talented. And Jongwoo? He was also my pick on Boys Planet and though he didn't debut with ZB1, I'm glad because this is where he belongs.
One Pact is perfect for him. He put a great team together with TAG, JAY, YEDAM, and SEONGMIN. Jongwoo is a talented all-rounder, that deserves to be leader and I'm so happy for all the love for him in these comments. Quite frankly the most unheralded rookie idol of 2023!
Them XIKERS, and EVNNE are my favorite rookies for 2023. I wish all of them to get more recognition because its much deserved.

the crazy thing about Jongwoo is he never comes across as arrogant. he's good, he knows he's good, and he has the charisma and skill to back it up. he can do this in his debut and I'M NOT EVEN MAD!! for most people it would seem selfish, like why are you making yourself the center of attention when you're part of a group?? but I don't even feel that with him. and just because he has such a focal point in the video... the others also shine!! their vocals are insane. no one feels left behind, honestly.

I have honestly never fallen for a group as fast as One Pact. I love that all their members have their own vocal color and all bring something unique to the group that just works.
The first time i listened to this song i was like "PD'S gonna like this song debut so much we definitely getting an 11/10" 12/10????? THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU REALLY FEEL WHAT I FELT FROM THIS DEBUT I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN LIKE 😭. I never even imagined what i really needed from a group but onepact gave me the definition, they are so different and that makes me so happy, yedam not debuting in those two survival shows was quite literally a destiny, i never thought my 2 worlds would collide this way, I barely imagined jay and jongwoo together and then came YEDAM and then SEONGMIN and TAG like i know all these boys and how much i liked them, it's like a group of people i personally chose to make them debut , literally feels like god listened to me and so well

the music video is so beautiful. im honestly tired of the y2k and fresh concepts from 5th gen, so this was something i was not expecting, yet it’s exactly what I wanted.

And their comeback back is darker, and since they’re r more use to each other and have more time to write songs , tag is gonna come through even better. I feel like I have to thank the fandom &hearts too for not going into the stupid complains about why my bias got less shots and count down to the seconds of how many each members get in a song or MV, but allowing the group to express freely, including use Jongwoo's solo to show their emotions, their attitudes, and their styles through it. 'cause sometimes that's all I hear from some fandom, there's nothing but complains that just makes you sad to be a part of. I imagine it's very difficult for those groups to challenge themselves when your hands are tight by the fans. Instead I want ONE PACT to go bold, to go unconventional, 'cause they have everything ready to be like that!

Imo they were the biggest debut in 2023, they are authentically talented, in every area that relates to music, vocals, rap, song producing, choreographing, acting, they are a full package and it shows, their album was an almost perfect one, imo only g.o.a.t was not that good, funny how that's the only song tag haven't produced, except for that one this album has been on repeat since release, listening one song after another and singing with joy every one of them every single time, i just love them already

I have been playing curated playlists of Jay's debut album and One Pact's all day every day since debut, as well as all their videos and performances, and I'm even more in love with the songs than I was in the beginning. That never happens.
I can't wait for your album review. Right now, 'Illusion' is the song stuck most in my brain and we recently caught wind that some choreo is being developed for that song, so hopefully a video and/or live show is on the horizon! Also, I believe TAG mentioned weeks back that they are already three songs into their come back album, and they're taking their time and are even happier with the next album so what does that tell you about what is to come (though honestly I need more time with Moment to live out this experience before the next revelation)

AndHearts (one pacts fandom) have been working hard to fix the problem that the japanese version of must be nice caused--japanese copyright took down the korean version of the mv and subsequently pd's reaction--the fandom noticed and messaged warner and armada to fix the kr mv and any reactions that were hit with a strike.

PD, I just want to say that I’ve taken a break from K-pop for a awhile, and watching your videos took me back to how much I really do used to love it. How happy we get, and your insight as a professional and just as a simple fan reflecting a lot of thoughts I’ve been excited to have. I’ve been in a bad mindset with social media for awhile, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been so happy about something so simple as a music video for hours straight.

Nice! I had not been keeping up with their journey, so thank you for introducing me to this amazing debut. Yes, who does striking dance solos like this in a debut? And vocals! The emo tones of this song are my thing, too. I never have enough time but have to carve out some if they are going to be doing like this.

Im actually glad Jongwoo didn't get to zb1 because i didn't like their music and it's a temporary group. As much as I like an idol, and he was one of my favorites, I couldn't stan a group if I don't like their music. I'm also glad Tag decided to be an idol again because he said he could've just stayed producing. I love one pact. I love this album and the group is amazing

this debut was really good. the last chorus is a bit too underwhelming for me to put over other 2023 debuts (+ the lack of adlibs) but i love the emotional aspect of this song and Tag is truly a hidden gem.. i'm so glad i found him because of this group

"he's like literally the idol I have been dreaming of to debut for a long time" I agree to that statement so much, i have watched some survival shows, also stan a lot of groups but i was never so attached with a particular idol before in my life, i never thought i would make a twt account just for him lmfao, and vote for somebody so bad like it was my life. He gives the vibes of an idol who's gonna make it very big, idk why but i can see him on a very high stage already , that's very risky to say when that idol has just debuted but i feel that so much i just can't deny that anymore, i have never rly felt such pure joy from an idol performing except san. I literally want onepact to break into the mainstream asap coz they highly deserve that. Every member in this group is so special, so different yet so fitting, it's hard to imagine them apart from each other now, at first i was worried about the lineup but it works so well i am pleasantly surprised about that. I really think they have the potential to do a lot in their upcoming years, and i really want them to stick to this kind of sound for their theme for some of the upcoming comebacks coz i really think making this their main sound would make them very different from every other group out there and they do it so well so why not lol

Can someone tell me about onepact and the members? Also was yedam was in boys planet? And if you’re thinking I should google it, I know but fans knows better than google so I prefer 1st hand information also I am starting to love them❤
Hii! Yes! Yedam was also on Boys Planet! They all were actually, but Tag left before the first signal song test and was mostly edited out (you can see him, Jongwoo and Seongmin talking in one cut). Jongwoo is the leader, and he basically met Kangnam after BP and impressed him enough to help out with fan meetings, and then eventually he decided to make Jongwoo a group where he could pick the members himself. Jay is the main vocalist (currently on Build Up to promote the group, vote!), Tag is the lyricist and composer and he made 5/6 songs on the debut album (but there are other members who can write and compose so think and hope they’ll get more involved too), Seongmin is the visual and he keeps the group grounded together (the “mom” of the group) while singing and dancing beautifully, and Yedam is the maknae dance machine. The group is well rounded with amazing vocalists and dancers and they have a great vibe so you won’t regret getting into them!!

He is a former idol and tv-personality + youtuber who’s pretty big in Japan and s. korea 😊 basically he met Jongwoo and they got to talking and when Jongwoo said he wanted to be on stage Kangnam decided to help him since he owns a company that hosts performances. Eventually, Kangnam decided that he wanted to start an entertainment company and start a boy group with Jongwoo as the leader and let him pick his members. He (so far, I never really trust k-pop CEO’s) is giving them a lot of creative freedom, so hopefully there’s a lot of good things in the future!!
