*non-moded vita and non-modded 3ds users trying to say which is better*
*modded vita and modded 3ds users finally acknowledging how good both are*
Modded 3ds kinda sinks really low for what it can actually do, you can get dissapointed hard, but in the end it's all about the price. If can you get a 3ds under 50$, it's always worth it.
There is no need of fighting once you figured the corporate greed hunger ruins this beautiful hobby and we don't need them in order to get the best out of it
@@wertyxq3468 I have both and I'd say that besides price, they're pretty much equal. Both great in their own way.
I modded both my vita and 3ds over the course of the last couple weeks lma
I’ve got a modded 3DS and I think I’ll get a Vita at some point because I miss my old PSP and the amazing library it offered
I feel like Sony forgot the Vita existed 30 seconds after launch. It's ours now.
30 seconds?? you are so generous. i would say 5 seconds :´(
I am scared to mod it. It seems so difficult and annoying.
@@jrtienyou have a katana and u are scared to mod it? 🤣
Try it man it has been made easy
Can barely call it PlayStation Vita. Because Sony abandoned it.
@@illustration7090they all abandoned me 😢
I still dont understand why Sony gave up on this gorgeous handheld
I own a modded one and it is everything you want it to be
how could you mod it ?
@@FreedomFighterAsuka gotcha thanks bro
It was hella expensive back then
Yeah it's a beauty even the games are amazing it hqs a unique feel i don't think it will be replicated anytime soon
@@igorz3551 nope...still decent after 10 years man I love my oled vita
I still have my vita 2000.
I kept it mainly for MGS2 and MGS3
MGS the only reason why I brought Vita lol
Yall should mod it it’s so easy and fun
football manager metal gear hd was the only reasom i got my Vita now its modded its even better
I jailbroke my vita today and I am playing mgs3 right now 😂
What's mgs2
My PS vita has been sitting around collecting dust for around 6 years, and it just popped in my head to mod it.
It's a lot of fun! - its relatively easy, and makes you feel like a big brain hacker genius.
Really gave me a newfound respect for the homebrew scene, and the years of work put into discovering how to harness all the exploits needed to make it possible.
Same
I told my buddy to give me his Vita so I could mod it. He asked me, "what can a modded Vita do?" I told him, "what can't a modded Vita do."

It just needs a good ps2 emulator
I would love to see a new vita, look how popular the steam deck and switch are
I don't think Sony will ever step into the handheld market. It's over saturated now and too much of a risk for Sony since the vita flopped
@@canadianninja1837 well at least they did a little bit with the Sony backbone, maybe that was an appetizer?
@@canadianninja1837 i mean not really there isnt much out there. i think the big killer of the hand held market is geforce now. you can buy a razer phone mount and play anything..... steam deck is so popular though you would think a new vita would kill it.,
It would be great, but considering Sony migrating all of their first party successes to PC says otherwise
It's more likely that they make playstation plus deals with valve than releasing their own handheld
Edit: due to the recent news maybe I'm wrong and Sony is dumb because of them just now realizing that their handhelds could rock but their lack of support is the sole reason why they sucked
@@canadianninja1837 look up sony tonino Greco on youtube about a sony portable tease Nintendo switch fanboy hahaha
Just bought one a few days ago and couldn't agree more with you
Where did you get it from?
@@karobob23_ I got it from a friend if u are looking for a store to buy one I can't help you sorry :/
The psvita has always been an intriguing thing to me as a Nintendo fan. Something about it just seems so magical, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. It does look really nice to hold. I would love to get my hands on one someday.
I'd definitely recommend it. it's a great first jailbreaking project if you want to get into that as well, since the Vita is a dead console and Sony doesn't care what you do with it. but there are some great games and hidden gems on the Vita
@@melodiclogic9904could you recommend some hidden gems on the vita?
*I wanna see the Goat Simulator games ported to the Vita.*
Agree
Wait… there were *several* of them? Lmao
I thought it was just that one game and those different DLC levels over the years :P
@Rand0mN0rwegianGuy There's like 6 Goat Simulators. Goat Payday, Waste Of Space, Goat MMO, etc. Are you calling those DLC's instead of being their own game?
@@Asian_Kid But, all of those that you mentioned there in your comment… ARE just DLC’s, though.
And I know that for a fact, because I bought them all, and they very clearly were just that, DLC that added lots of content within the main game; and not separate different games. At least this was the case on PS4, anyway (bought them all through the PS Store).
@Rand0mN0rwegianGuy I guess they technically are dlcs.
The ps vita was ahead of its time. A true 10/10 console.
I still use mine all the time ...mines modded
its probably my favorite handheld and console OF ALL TIME. i play it almost every day. i'd agree with you and say its THE GOAT console.
If sony make a new ps vita but slightly better it'll be a masterpiece
playstation portal in a nutshell:
Instead they made a stupid ps portal that can only play games from your ps5
But if you are looking to buy a Vita in 2023 solely to mod it for emulation, rhe Steam Deck or its competitors may be a better alternative since it's more powerful.
.....and also 5 times the price.....
U can get a vita for like $80 tho
And also double the size
I got the very first ps vita version. And I actually still have the very first version of the PSP with umd discs. The only thing that sucks is it doesn’t read my memory card anymore. But still works and I still watch movies and the Ali G show whenever I take a flight.
Yo that’s actually lit 😂 Ali G is the shit haha, that’s awesome. Need to watch more of that show again
I remember owning a vita and I loved the hardware I just remember not really having any games for it and I eventually sold it because I didn’t use it as much as I thought. 😪 it was such an amazing device to me and should’ve had more/better games
I sold mine shortly after getting one at launch as well. Luckily, I got one again in 2018. Glad I did because physical games weren’t as expensive as they are now. There are so many games even if you’re not into jrpgs.
I sold mine 5 months ago and buy a new one full mod 1 week ago 😎
gg bro👌
Where can I buy one already modded

I've been using my boyfriends modded vita lately and wow, just the amount of content is insane, homebrew scene is brilliant and the nostalgia factor with dreamcast, n64 etc on something like this is wild.
I loved the vita. Sony hated it to the brim. The first few years was the worst, not getting any games at all. Glad the home brew is giving it love like the psp
dead space? really. i need to get one vita please..
You need the apk 😔
@@ronniewest87maybe pirate it. I dont really like doing it but on some cases its the only thing I can do
@@aspiradora56 agreed. It's definitely a guilty pleasure 😆
It was a mobile game that was taken off stores. I copped it once but can’t play it thanks to EA.
Same happened to RE4 Mobile and Splinter Cell Conviction Mobile.
Dreamcast?! Are you telling me I could be playing both Space Channel 5 part 1 and 2... ON 😮 MY 😱 VITA?! 🤯
Playing Nintendo was the game changer
Love how im now seeing a ton of vita videos after i accidentally bricked mine...
That's why I don't mod my consoles.
@@2fernandoc1ur dumb if you don’t mod your vita I hate to say it, Sony tried their best to kneecap the platform by charging out the ass for literally everything. By modding it you remove storage limits, get all games for free, and are able to do other stuff like overclocking and all sorts of insane plugins. And there’s literally zero risk of getting banned or anything. Also hate to say this but you gotta be a bit of a dunce with your device to brick it they are very resilient and I’ve saved mine from a bricked state multiple times when I was modding it a few years ago. Oh and it’s now the easiest to mod then it’s ever been, I could literally preach about the vita for hours
I would love a updated and beefed up vita running on linux similarly to steamdeck, same form factor updated oled screen sheeet would be fire
They come with oled
Check out the GPD win 4
Sony bosses sucks. They killed Vita - it was a great portable console and I seriously love the games in there. So much fun but Sony just suddenly told it off. Was so angry about it back then coz I can't comprehend why when it's actually doing so good as a console but releases became slower and slower and went slowest when sony quit on it.
A mobile console that plays games off a disk is the single dumbest idea ever to come to any human being.
Consumers also gave up on it too. People preferred to play kiddy 3DS and mobile games instead and now those same people are clamoring for a new Sony handheld when they didn’t even support it in the first place
i have a modded 2ds xl and it is the actual best
such good ports like Sonic Mania, SM64, Halo Revamped, Doom, DDLC, SRB2, FNaF 1, and even GTA 3!
Not to mention the mods for native games like Smash 4, Mario Kart 7 (CTGP-7), and DS games like “Newer” Super Mario Bros DS!
I actually had my first Vita back in 2016 , it felt great except the high cost for Games and Memory Cards , a year or so ago I bought another Vita since my old one got water damage and I can't find it anymore, now I must say it's a great console for Emulation and with SD2VITA you actually have enough Storage for the nice high amount of games and Ports like GTA San Andreas and GTA 3 work pretty good maybe with except a error every once a while
I loved my modded one. I had pawn it last year for rent money:/. its still at the pawn shop lol. no one wants to buy it for the $500 price tag they put on it smh

This video made me go on the journey to fix and mod my vita almost 8 years after it broke. Something told me years ago to not let it go. Thanks so much for this vid!
This was the only handheld console I ever played, Now I’m 34 most definitely getting an anbernic.
cuphead runs on the vita?! 🥺
i beat it on xbox and switch
but im down to do it again honestly
Just a few levels
ya i saw its unfinished

Got mine recently straight from Japan!
I have 2 PsVita 1000. First is the legit one my girlfriend gifted me years ago (playing right now muramasa rebirth) and the second one bought last year at 20€ that I have modded. Never the less I'm still in search of a PSTV to mod and connect to the big screen with a PS4 controller. Modding it is like unlocking his true capabilities. Great Console IMHO
Been loving mine!
Had my vita for 10 years and just now in the past few weeks I’m playing it I never did before never touched it i did not know I could mod it so easily now I am having so much fun it’s a blast!
"We've seen a MASSIVE"
**shows Mass Effect menu screen**
It's funny how when he was playing Cuphead his thumbs weren't moving 😂.
yes they were
been playing resident evil 3 and FF VI on it like 3 minutes ago
I wish some one would port sonic generations
i love the vita for remote play 🔥
I still have my psvita since 2013
I recently started looking into getting a ps vita (I already have a modded 3ds) I wanna mod it because of the vocaloid content and minecraft stuff
I got my Vita 2000 back when Minecraft was still getting meaningful updates years and years ago. I used to play Minecraft and Get Off My Lawn all the time and recently decided, after a lot of thought, to mod my vita. It seems to have gone pretty well even though I’ve never modded any device before.
I have a modded 3DS XL. Its amazing.
I have also a PS5 and a 8K Highend Gaming PC.
PS Vita is my go to travel handheld. I have two, for me and for that one kid on every flight.
I totally agree i have a modded vita love playing on it i love the n64 and ps1 classics on it and it’s a powerhouse if u put a large sd card in it currently i am running a 256gb card and i have a large library off games almost 70 games on it to choose and play from.
Neither of my Vitas are modded and there’s still so much to offer. For example, it’s nice having MGS1-3 on there and a few Silent hills.
I 100% agree because literally I never owned the Vita because it was here and then it was gone in the blink of an eye it deserved way better than what it got in the end
I have a New 3DS XL non-modded without a charger. Ordered it on Amazon yesterday. It's gonna arive tommorow.
I literally bought one again just so i can mod it and play all the vita games i played before even ones i couldnt play from other regions
Vita still is one of the best spots for original Persona games. PSP remakes of Persona 1, P2: IS and P2: EP run natively on the system, plus you can also play Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. This might change of the first three games' PSP versions get ported to another console or PC, but so far this is your best option.
Is there a way to port resident evil 4, resident evil dead aim, resident evil outbreak, and other ps2 titles?
Google it
ps2 ports are currently impossible for homebrew devs
The strange Is that probaly few these games where One point been officialy ported to thevita included the Lil fated bioshock vita Port.
Gta ports look so good with the oled, even the trees look like they're popping out the screen🤣
Yeah 3DS I’m about to do but it scares me something might happen to my vita, I dont have any back up system for that one 😢
I still really struggle with getting the ports to work - I'm trying to do it all without a PC but can never find the files I need to copy, so get "CD Not Found" notices and stuff
Definitely a steep learning curve to all this
I don't know how you can mod you vita without a pc, I think its absolutly mandatory to have a PC to mod it
@@yasserghezal I modded my vita yesterday by using the 2023 mod guide video from Robles Junior. You don’t need a pc to mod it.
I have not seen mine for 2 years, thank u dad
Mass Effect Infiltrator & Dead Space Mobile do really well on the Vita.
Yeah i loved the ps vita. Going to re buy two of them
One slim in blue and orher all white
I ordered a Modded Vita right when the pandemic hit & I have ZERO regrets!! Just wish I had a PC to add new games 😅
Looking to order a Modded NEW 3DS XL next!!!
Holding out for a sonic heroes pc port to vita
I live in India and my Vita is needing a repair. I can do them but there are a lot of problems with getting parts for it in India.
I’m new to all of this and I have yet to mod my vita but GOOD GOD IT LOOKS AMAZING. How did he get all those retro games on there😍
Sonic Mania decomp is on PS Vita (alongside Android, Wii U, and 3DS)
I still collect for my vita. My favorite handheld console of all time
Can you do a video comparing this to the psp
The worst is the battery consumption 😂 in that hanheld
It would be cool to see killing the floor mod for the vita
Sadly my little brother broke my vita. That was my favorite handheld! Would take it to school and play mgs2&3 and all my favorite rouge like!!!
Cuphead unofficial ports is raw for every device that has it
what is the best type of jailbreak software or app whatever, for PS Vita right now?
I still have my vita is modded with PSX, PSP and of course PSvita games. There's even a store that I can download any game I want
I might just buy one and mod it now. Thanks.
I have a modded vita, but I've got terrible stick drift as just wish I could get rid of it. The drift, not the vita.
But, I've got all my retro emulation sorted with a retro handheld
So glad i went ahead and bought a refurbished one.
The PSvita is special guys!
It's fully capable, and we love it
A modded Vita is the GOAT. I never liked the squared sides from the DS Lite and 3DS. Vita is like the Saturn/Dreamcast of handhelds. Catered to hardcore gamers while getting dropped after 2 years like DC did.
Here are all my Vita games..
Assassin's Creed Chronicles
Bastion
Blazblue CP Extend
Broken Age
CounterSpy
Dead Or Alive 5 Plus
Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 Venus
Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax
Dragon's Crown
Final Fantasy X HD
God Of War Collection
Iconoclasts
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Muramasa Rebirth
Plants Vs. Zombies
Rayman Legends
Rayman Origins
Rocketbirds: Hard Broiled Chicken
Rocketbirds 2: Evolution
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero
Sly Cooper Collection
Sly Cooper: Thieves Of Time
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Table Top Racing
Tearaway
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
WipEout 2048
I don't like P4G, Gravity Rush, or LittleBigPlanet. Deleted them. Can always get them back. I liked Guacamelee and SteamWorld Dig 2 but decided to delete them. Assassin's Creed: Liberation is a rough game to look at. Such bad frame rates.
I also have 13 PSP games including compilations that has Sonic 1 & 2, Shinobi III, Street Fighter II Turbo, and Mortal Kombat 1-3. I have 17 PS1 games using Adrenaline which includes my two all-time favs: Final Fantasy VII and Tekken 3. I also have another 20 games using RetroArch.
People really need to check out the Vita. There are tutorials on hacking them all over CZcams. Takes like no more than 10 minutes. The 3DS is cool but it's just not as powerful. Vita has 28 GFlops. That's more than Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, OG Xbox, and Wii.
The 6th generation is the most beloved and the Vita surpasses all of them in raw power. I also own a Switch Lite which I love too but Vita takes the cake. Lighter, smaller, more versatile like using my DualShock 4 to control it. Vita is the GOAT.
My PS Vita slim covers these systems: Game Boy, Game Gear, NES, Genesis, Super NES, PS1, PS2 (a few), PSP, and its own Vita games. Add all the indies that the Switch eventually got and many smartphones already had.
My Galaxy Z Flip 3 used to have apps like Lemuroid to cover those older systems from the 80s and 90s but is now used to emulate Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, and Wii. I gave up on MAME ROMs mainly because I grew tired mapping the controls for specific games.
My Switch Lite is used for some 7th/8th gen ports like AC4: Black Flag and The Witcher 3. I play NBA 2K23 a ton on it. For games I missed out from the Wii U which I never bought. For the many awesome indies that the Vita and smartphones excel in like Horizon Chase: Turbo and Oddmar.
I bought an iPhone SE 3 for only $150 last Oct. I used that too for indie games. I have Life Is Strange, Forgotton Anne, and GRIS. I'll use my DualShock 4 to control them and my SE 3's case has a kickstand. I have a Sony, Nintendo, Samsung, and Apple to cover my gaming needs.
I will eventually get a Steam Deck. Might take 4 years as Valve isn't looking to make a smaller version any time soon. I badly want to play FF7 Remake and Shenmue III. I'm not getting it for emulation since I already have that covered. It's to play newer games like Elden Ring.
At 42 growing up from the NES era, I want quick and easy games that doesn't kill a lot of time and doesn't force me to rage quit. Vita, Switch, and a Z Flip are perfect for that as they're a combination of all my favorite consoles from 1985-2006 that I can take anywhere with me.
You got the vita 1000 or 2000?
Ive been contemplating either psvita of ps3 .. .the perk of ps vita is portable but i can just use my phone to remote play and ps 3 have the game that i love like mosuo gundam & motostorm but i already got ps4 and 5
😅 I kinda have two vitas one that broke and I did check if it could get fixed 😅 couldn't n other but it doesn't charge at all so I'm gunna ether see how much it be fix one of them n if possible take the parts that one may have for other or buy new one. Anyway I be modding when I can for ps vita when I get it fixed or buy one and mod me new 3ds xl. I haven't got a SD card reader to plug into a laptop to do the modding.
Does the Home Brew store has X-men legends 1 (ps2) / SSX / SSX tricky (ps2) in their inventory?
I kinda like the iPod jailbreak rock box then psvita jail broken because not much will have a psvita only ipod
If it’s got nova 3 I’m sold
It’s kinda like the Dreamcast where it’s afterlife is more impressive
Vita and 3ds are goat handhelds and add the modding you can do. Peak devices!
Mario went over to Sony ? Wtf, how in the illegal...
I have 8 PS Vitas and I JUST started nodding them this year. I am in heaven. 😊
om tbe vita its like: Unmodded its a beta device, modded its a full release console
Vita means life
Mario on Vita my nightmares are coming true🫣
Yo cuphead is on it 🤯
I would love one but way too expensive for outdated tech. For that price (typically $200-300) I would rather buy one of the dozens of new retro handhelds with updated tech. GPD Win 4 was really close but I’m not paying $1k+ for a handheld
Or you don't have to worry about dealing with a modded PSP and you can just get a steam deck that has a bigger screen I can pretty much play every gaming console besides the current-gen consoles
A steam deck costs about $500 where as a PSVita cost about $80-$100
Facts
mario kart in vita looks beautiful
Let's not expect companies to "care" about our favorite products, they're profit oriented, if it ain't making it rain, they won't bother
I love this console ❤❤❤❤
I love playing GTA San Andreas on my Vita!!! Absolute God their Vita game!!!!
I just wish someone would put GT1 & GT2 in an easy to download and get on your Vita package!!!
