This poem is so beautiful and you could not have done a better job at depicting and reflecting such a great poem and mission of the Galladuet's family. Just wanted to say Thank you! That was beautiful!!!
I love poetry in Sign language. I've been to a signing poetry slam here in Germany last year and I can really say that I fell in love with "Deaf" poetry. :)
wow i learned a TON by just watching this 2x...lots of implicit meaning...proof ASL can do "implicit" concepts...thank you TL...i just learned how to sign the concept of "i would" (suppose A, i would B)...using conditional phrase...i know it's not what the poem READ, but it's what it MEANT ;)...but how you did it made using conditional phrase way (for similar IMPLICITs) CLEARer for me...you're so FIT - YOU LOOK GREAT TL !!! ;)...met you once at school heheh...i loved Sign Natural driving story!
Nice poetry. I enjoyed it. Can somebody correct the picture of Thomas Gallaudet? I think the man with beard is actually Thomas Gallaudet, Jr., the eldest son who is a Episcopal Priest for Deaf church in New England. Thomas Gallaudet the father of Thomas Jr. and Edward always have glasses on. He looks really different from the picture used in the video. Im surprised that the pictures were provided by Gallaudet Archives. They should recognize this error. Check with them about this question.
This person and this poem are the reason why I began to learn sign language
I would love to see more poetry in sign language!
