The first upgrade I did with my 3s typhon was some big bore shocks and put a kraton 6s esc but only run on 4s and in my opinion that’s all this car needs
I think you may be right! 4s, I believe, would be a good option on this for sure!
I like running mine with the 6s Typhon wheels on road and when the tread wears down they turn into amazing slicks. I’ve had over 30 RC and some way more expensive than the 3S Typhon and it’s still one of my all-time favorites.

@@thercstore. just a quick update on making it 4s. I just stripped our my rear input gear and crown gear. But I pretty much ran it on 4s for 2 months and probably 10 batterie packs so might be worth looking at the metal gears that are available

Get some Proline Badlands for that and it will turn it into a beast! Absolutely no problem with jumps anymore and you can front and back flip with ease. Best upgrade for the Typhon 3s.

You can also up the pinion to 17t or 18t for even more speed/wheelies beside upping the punch on 3s. Going to a 20t pinion is ok for speed runs on road, but overheats off road. The reason the Typhon chassis slaps more than the Big Rock, is not only the Big Rock tyres have more volume in them but are much larger diameter 125mm vs 112 for Typhon. This gives the Big Rock far more ground clearance. The 3s line are ballistic on 4s, I put a larger esc in my Vorteks & ran 4s, crazy fast.
