You’re my favourite person on the whole of the internet 🫶🏻 I hope that doesn’t sound too cringy, lol. But with everyone else’s videos, I either listen to them while multitasking or just watch snippets that I’m interested in. With your vlogs, I actually make myself a cuppa and sit down to watch with no distractions. It’s like catching up with a friend and it’s the most therapeutic few minutes. All the books on the womenslist for non fiction seem equally interesting to me :0 I guess I have 6 new books to add to my TBR... 7 actually; because I also want to read the 100 years' war on Palestine, You explain them really well and I loved getting to understand your opinions and enthusiasm for them
Your video helped me realise that categorising non-fiction as heavy is an arbitrary generalisation that doesn't help amplify the nuance, variety and ultimately the writers' voices in non-fiction. And I am saying this as someone who gravitates towards fiction and occasionally memoirs. On another note, I think the content we consume could be significantly improved if the creators took their time while simultaneously the audience appreciated the fact that we cannot have eeeverything whenever we want. No offence to anyone kindly expressing their appreciation to your content, ironically I found myself relating to those messages but for your podcast. All this just made me think of how we are becoming trained to perceive content, even unconsciously, as an actual product. Lastly, without wanting to put *any* pressure to you re the podcast, I was wondering if in your next video could suggest some of the ones that you have been enjoying lately? Thank you for the thought and effort you put into your content and for facilitating openness and respectfulness in this community xxx P.S. Looooved the breakie 😉
