One of the cooler things about the R-Gyagya is that it isn't a retool of an existing model, and another is that it's intended to be released as a new R-Jaja with modern engineering.
I was looking forward to this kit before, but now im really excited for it. It looks awesome! Also, its pretty cool to see your building skill improve with each kit. Keep up the good work, always looking forward to all your content!

+TYPE V3 Aila is amazing. The battle between her and Ricardo was incredible. I would dislike Gyanko, BUT her mobile suit is ossum AND she reminds me of a friend of mine. Looks wise Gyanko is basically her in anime form, personality wise, not so much. Only slightly, and only at certain times, aka not when she's being arrogant. But every now and then she says or does something very similar to my friend would do.
Your painting skills have improved. The flatter gold looks a lot better than the warped gold

I decided to see this review after I saw your Gyancelot review...
I think this kit is better and practical compared to Gyancelot.
Gyancelot's design is really a trying hard knight to be kit. It's not really that bad but if there's factors i like in the gyancelot it's the joints inherited from Gyan Revive Kit.
For some reason I like R-Gyagya more than Gyancelot.
It's the playablity of this Kit kinda surprised me aside from the size.
This kit along with Gyancelot can be a favorite to kitbashers who are i think planning to make their own updated version of the TALLGEESE.
I'm not surprised at the R-Gyagya's size, as I seem to recall Neo Zeon suits growing larger and larger from "ZZ Gundam" to "Char's Counterattack." That being said, though, this definitely seems more powerful than the original R-Jarja, with a better balanced armament. I can only imagine what Chara Soon could have done with it had it been a real MS. =)
Your paint job on this kit is absolutely fantastic. I'm just a snap-fit guy and wanted the R-Gyagya so bad. But lookin through this review, their default yellow plastic colour is just horrible. Glad I watched your video before rushing to buy it.

funny thing is, i put the crest on backwards but i like it better that way.
I bought this suit and mine fell apart so quickly. Idk if mine was defective or something. Both the shoulder connections broke and both waist joints broke as well. Idk how or why it happened
I like how most upgraded Gyan ditch an old head model for more knightly one
Probably already mentioned but the single beam sword scabbard is probably explained in-universe as being a recharge rack (I.E. like the compartments in the legs of a typical RX-79[G] Ground Gundam).
What I don't get is that in the show, Gyanko pronounces its name as R-Gyagyagya, with an extra "gya" at the end.

I actually kinda like her. Her devotion to her brother is also a very endearing trait, especially since he was such a comical character in the first series. I guess he moved up a lot in the world.
...I've never been into that character archetype. Characters who try to find their own style have been my thing.

Oh, not faulting you, everyone has their own tastes. Was more just commenting on my own. Thank you for reviewing this kit, it looks really fantastic. And as far as when you mentioned what use the scabbard was, I assume it's like with the Gundam Rose, where the beam rapier had a scabbard-shaped recharge rack

Looking back on the model kit outside of the anime, I actually finally notice where the kit comes from. I originally thought it was just a far stretch from the Gyan, but it is actually a mix of the Gyan and the Gaplant. You can obviously tell what it gets from the Gyan, but it also has the head thing of the Gaplant, along with its large guns attached to the Gaplant's arms.
***** They actually say in the anime that it's based off of the R-Jarja.

***** Even the color comes from something else, it is not simply a custom color she used. It is based on the R-Jarja used by Glemy Toto's group. His were painted the silver with gold secondary colors.
We're going to get HGUC R Jarja in next few months.

Just glossed over the gatlin guns. Do they only swing up to the rear? Can they be detached and used in the hand or are they jus dead weight back there?

Morganix01 Nope. But then, I usually top coat my kits which strengthens the joint connections.

Hey type v3 I'm sorry if you have already answered this question but what do you use to color your kits I was told that Gundam markers can do the job just as good but I like to be safe than sorry

R-Gyagya is coola and all but I NEED a kit of the Gundam the End from the newest episode. Revolvers and giant gundam face hand wings? I NEED IT!!!

Never give up hope. We never thought we'd get a lot of suits made into kits, heck they're making a 1/100 of the Gundam Mk.5. Who was asking for that?

You painted it gold? Its more a copper color though. It was a better gold color just the way how it was. Or the best way to get a gold color is a good reflective silver paint first and then clear yellow over it. But cool kit, thinking of picking it up too thanks to you. lol!
Color might not be translating over the picture well enough. There's no White balance on my camera :(
Ive heard that this model's arms pop off easily. Is that true? Are they even worse than the try burning's arms?
Boblol126 The try burning's arms are pretty solid to me...idk how it pops off easily in your assembly...

Boblol126 oooohh, now it makes sense...i don't know though, i haven't bought the R-Gyagya yet, but yeah, TBG's shoulder ball joint is one of it's primary weakness...
with how big the shoulder pads are yes. they'll pop off sometimes when trying to pose it then you have to fiddle with it to get it out of the shoulder pad to plug it back in. still a great kit in my opinion

Hey Im kinda casual when it comes to gunpla, I'm good at construction but never painted them for now. if i were to get into painting, to start, what paints and tools should I get?
Tamiya paints should be good for painted builds.
tamiya paints are easy to use.
there acrylic and easy to fix if mistakes are made.
also some good paint brushes. ive had cheap ones fall apart and the buts gets stuck in the paint
I love how you painted the gold parts. It looks like it came from the anime. Are you still using the Krylon UV resistant topcoat?
Unfortunately yes. This was the last kit to use the Krylon stuff. My local shop finally started to stock Tamiya TS-80 so now I'm using that.
Didn't you like Krylon? I thought the kits you used on it made them look good. BTW, how about that Transient Gundam?

Some one got a Kit and the head and arms barley stayed on is this true or was his just a defect? I would love to get one but would be pissed off if that was the case
head falls off a bit easily and it's the shoulder pads that give problems with the arms but they're easy enough to put back on

***** Aside from Ez-SR I really like this Gyagya too and yes I hate the pilot too. If they make her look good like other beautiful ladies out there it might fit better even with that attitude.
Witch King Dude,that sexualism. I like big tits and ass on a slim girl too, but hey, last season we had Nils and Renato brothers. Now we got a not-so-chubby fighter, just to please those who yell at Sunrise/Bandai for over-sexualizing girls on anime.
Yup. But that's what I prefer for girls with those attitude on anime hehe but it really doesn't matter as the girl becomes good now.
are there any seamlines that can be removed (to make it better) cause I got this and some thin cement, also I like gyanko she's perky....

I guess you will find units from Crossbone Vanguard interesting, if you like knight-based robots.
Btw I think the two shields symbolise its pilot's enormous breasts, especially when they are put in a line......and the little knobs in the middle just make it even more explicit lol

I can never get metallic based paint look that good. It always want to collect on the edge of the paint surface. Can you teach me how to paint it so smooth?

Hey My R-GyaGya arms like to pop off a lot from the arm socket that's in the body is their anyway to strengthen the connection like coating the ball joint with something?
warren lam You can use Future Floor Polish. If that's not available, try clear nail polish. OR you can always clear coat your kits.
