Yes this is a BIG problem I have and I decided to stop shooting wannabe models from Facebook and Instagram and find "NOT a model" that i find could be one and we take some great shots. That or find a new model that hasn't been contaminated by the wannabe social media "fashion industry". Decided i need to just get with agencies. I've been wanting to work with agencies that can land REAL work. Thanks for this video, figures it only has 22 likes and 226 views smdh. Too much truth in one video nobody wanna listen lol
I started to feel this way shortly after starting out, as I soon got to a point where I felt like my ability as a photographer was outpacing the people who were reaching out to me to shoot. I was also shooting with too many people who were not serious about modeling

Very informative! Question, when you mean take images that the agency needs then ones for portfolio and then personal work, are you showing the agency all three of those mood boards? And I’m guessing by what the agency needs is clean shots , not too dramatic etc.

There's a definite inflection point when you have to realize what's holding you back and how to move through it and past it.
