I've had the pleasure of watching at least 20 pass through KC/NEMM, including JRs personal ride, the Rickman, and the 3 on display on the 2nd floor. Every single one of them was or is show quality. They are just awesome, history making machines!

I had an 80 model Ltd 1000 w/ kercker.loved it.
My dad was a pro surfer. When he got his first big sponsor check he went out and bought a dodge truck and a kz1000. The Kz1000 ended his pro surfing career 3 months later in a crash. He still loves those bikes though. If it wasn't for that crash he wouldn't have been forced to go into truck driving and then logistics solutions and got to retire absolutely balling out of control. He probably wouldn't have been that successful if he'd stayed a pro surfer.
Now that's the way to start the day!

That's what I'm talking about Kenny. Now that's a bike from my time. Major classic! Looks awesome sounds awesome. Don't see many of those rolling down the highway anymore. Too bad. One of the best bikes ever.

isn't wierd how the old bikes have a completley different sound n tone then any new bikes never had a kz had the ltd 1000 fast old bikes

i miss my old 1980 kz 1000B Model. it was carberated. went 12.0s in the Quarter, never saw 11s.
I have the same problems I ride street bikes like their dirt bikes
The cops should still be using them, not slow HDs.
I believe this is a 1978 KZ1000. The 79 has a more squared off tank (MkII)

Don't know alot about this particular bike but I've been told some blokes are doing restor jobs on them and making them real fast and super good looking. If you Google this bike you can check out exactly what some dudes have been doing to this particular bike and i must say they are horny.
