Whoever mixed this show should be blacklisted. Lee is way too loud, Thurston sounds like he is playing next to insomniacs at 10 PM, and it seems like Jim is playing his guitar while it's unplugged. It's a shame, because they are playing really well here.
@@gSalTX At local shows you can just talk to the sound guy to get the best sound and get feedback from the audience or even bring a friend to run the mixing console, but I doubt you can really have such an environment at a festival.
off the board recording can be tricky, as it'd not unusual for an off the board tape to sound nothing like the audience hears. my chief concern is that Kim is playing way way way to early, the timing is way off, so this gives credence to that there may have been a problem with the sound on stage and Kim could not hear any of the guitar parts adequately because she does play in time with the drums just nothing or nobody else.
True but in the end all of music has a key center, never the less the have their own theory when it come to their music (chords, bass lines, melodies etc). But its actually a d minor chord but w/ the an g played before the f.

Man, I've been listening as carefully as I could to hear Jim's part, but I can't for the life of me hear anything he's playing.
Did that used to happen a lot to bands, where they would show up and be at the mercy of the local sound guy?
