I was able to pose for a photo with Tribu Parianon's main male dancer before they performed at the Rizal St.-Goldberry stage and told him they'd win, signing '1' 🖕with my right index finger. They won 1 million pesos as champions. Amazing showmanship and the execution was flawless. Congratulations to them! 😎

Early 90's - 2000 pa pa rin is the best for me, malulupit ang mga props noon at performance.
OMG flashback when I was still in Iloilo City with Tribu Paghidaet under sir Ramil's choreography, we bagged the grand slam that time... and oh yes that "Baboy Ramo " theme was phenomenal. Congratulations!!!!!

Brgy category na abi subong unlike kung open category kay school grabe ang budget kag manpower para magbuhat sang custom and props.. hopefully magbalik na ang open category.. dira na mikta ang mga performance sang paghidait, ilonganon, kg iba nga public high schools sa iloilo city...

I remember in the 70’s when dinagyang and ati-Atihan dance steps were simple and true to their origins - very tribal in nature. Now it’s all nonsensical tacky choreography. What happened to the rhythmic drum beats accompanied by spear thumping matched with precisely timed March steps? Even Sinulog in the late ‘80s when it all started didn’t have this cheesy no-historical basis display of irrelevant choreography.

I love their performance more during the blocking rehearsal and pa SALVO. Movements and ,dance with feelings. They even shouts when they perform. I agree the costume is just too much colors and kagamo tan awon but PARIANON has the best oerformance.

Agree ko ya sa imo Honus Blanco! I was a child back in the 80's and I miss the old style nga dance steps. Tribal guid ya ang dating! Searching gani diri sa CZcams kung may ara mag upload sang una pa nga Dinagyang competition.
