When I first smelled the three side by side at Macy's I laughed when I smelled the Parfum because it was incredible. It blew the first 2 away.

BDC Parfum is my perfect blue, and in my top 5 fragrances in my collection of around 70. I wear it all year long … even in the summer.
I also love Sauvage Parfum, and Y Parfum.
But BDC does everything well and smells great doing it. It is VERY versatile IMO.
To me it’s a 10. :)
Sauvage parfum is much lighter on the Ambroxan, much darker, and more mature than the edt. The only one I own/enjoy however is elixir
I totally agree. Parfum is a smoother, denser, darker version of the EDP that is less over worn. The EDP is great but the Parfum really is something special I didn’t think it was possible to have a better version of the EDP until I smelt this. I have a very big collection of Niche and designer fragrances; i have a great nose and I can say that this is the best scent ever created and is better than any Niche fragrance. For me this is perfect; I think it is the lavender that sets it apart and makes it soo addictive and seductive. This is the Epitome of perfumery absolute masterpiece. This fragrance has a very nice warmth to it from the intense woods.
Versatility is great. Formal and bold enough for formal occasions or making a statement but also sexy enough for a date night. Although BDC Parfum is a great 4 season fragrance, it is better suited for winter than the other versions.
This will get compliments from women as they really do love it.
Bleu de Chanel Parfum is a perfect blue fragrance. I also agree with you, it is the best one. Underrated on its own line. My fiance loves this one. She don’t care about edt or edp versions or any of tha Sauvage flankers. But the bdc parfum is the drug of my choise when I want to smell nice the her. Keep on producing great content Ross! Hopefully I’ll see you in Finland one day!
BDC has always been that kind of fragrance that is low profile but stays on for a long period of time
I can't afford a bottle of this but I've had a sample of it. It's really nice! I have Dua's version Bleu De Dua Attar. I've had them both on each wrist and smell 99% similar. Every time I wear the Dua version I get compliments. Great scent!

First time commenting, but channel enthusiast. I could not agree more. I think I'm as surprised as you are that you havent done this yet. Masterpiece is thrown around a lot in the fragrance community, but it holds a lot of water here. Love the excitement. And, speaking of charisma, you've changed so much in the last year. Dare I say. Full of positive energy and confidence. I dig it. Always looking forward to the next segment. Peace.
absolutely a masterful blend of a blue fragrance. one of the few blues i truly love and will always own. 9.5/10 for sure!
Tried this today for the first time. I have to agree with you man this is excellent. I can’t believe I took so long to give it a try… Actually got some Zaharoff Royale X vibes from this. High end hotel shower gel fresh. So refined. Will be picking up a bottle ASAP. I don’t really do Blue fragrances. But for this. I’ll make exception :) Total must for my collection. Great review Ross!

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree, this is an amazing scent, not a fill the room, not a huge projector at hour 5 but it lasts on my skin. Elegant and I've got many great scent memories with this one
I have all 3 concentrations of BDC. The early batches of the EDT were amazing! The EDP was a woodier take, but I’ve always felt that the Parfum version has been its own niche. The lemon and bergamot in the opening is lovely but muted. It’s not as potent as the EDP. However, it then goes off in a different direction. The dry down is so good. It’s dark, creamy and a bit powdery. The ingredients smell more natural than the other versions. I wore this to work today. It was applied at around 7am and I still got wafts of it at 5pm. I find that the Parfum creates a lovely scent cloud. It’s not meant to be as loud as the EDT or EDP. I see it more as a subtle power fragrance than lingers the longest.
Man you make me want to buy this. I was at macys getting a birthday gift for the brother and a Father’s Day gift for my pops. Damn near bought it after seeing so many reviews about this. I remember a few years ago everyone said parfum is trash especially compared to edt and EDP. Crazy how everyone is saying the parfum is the best edition. Hopefully next month I’ll have that bottle in my hands

I rarely say this because you just never know what fragrance will come next, but I agree I don’t think this can be beat. It is a masterpiece. The original is a masterpiece. Then they enhanced the masterpiece. Then they perfected the masterpiece. Absolutely best in class. Might be the greatest men’s fragrance of all time. Mission complete. Now work on a new original fragrance, Chanel.

I agree with your review: THE BEST of the Bleu. I just bought this today and i was so impressed, i got two 1.5ml. totally fantastic and sophisticated. Class and expensive.
This is in my top five at number 3. I love it so much I wear it casually too but smells more professional. I always crave this fragrance when it rains so I thought it was cool that you mentioned Houston humidity.
Even though I now own over 100 bottles, I still don't own a Chanel. I'm just not a huge fan of them. They all just kinda smell nice but never wowed me at all, especially for the price. If you could find them online for a significant discount, I might be more inclined to grab some of them but full retail they're not worth it. Out of the three available BdC, the parfum does smell the best, so I can agree on that but it's also the most expensive. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it, Ross.
Such a big collection without a Chanel? It’s almost an obligation 😅 I started out my collection with cheaper alternatives to Dior and Chanel. Now I’m at the point that I have a few originals from the Dior homme line, Chanel BDC and the allure line. They do wow me although the longevity is not always there, but the quality is outstanding so I think I will buy more 😢 maybe you should try allure homme (the og). It’s base is also the BDC inspiration.
@@DS-mo5db I have many designer fragrances from Diors to Givenchy to Ferragamo and many, many niche but I don't love any Chanel enough to add one to my collection. There's a Chanel store in my city. I've literally smelled them all and sampled most of them. I just don't think they're worth the price. Maybe one day my tastes will change or they'll release something that blows me away. I like a few but if I don't love them, I don't need them.

My favorite of line. Chanel, however, appears to have raised the price. 5.0 fl Oz at Macys used to be $200 USD. Just checked and now $220. Also hoping for the elixir version.

It's my favorite fragrance of all time. That and Coromandel and Allure Homme Sport and Edition Blanche. I love Chanel's alot.
I just finished testing Bleu de Chanel,it’s top notch,the notes are crisp. I like Dior Sauvage but Bleu de Chanel parfum is the best of blue fragrances. The cost however is another story,so I will be chasing clones of BdC parfum.
I have a number of fragrances such as creed, parfums de marly, roja but my partner says that this one is her favourite,she says it smells sexy and she can get up close and doesn't pierce her nose or annoy her,and recently I was at a party most people there knew me and have smelt all my fragrances,and everyone there was saying it smells amazing and by far the most sexist fragrance they have smelt after 3 hours people could still get wifts of it within 1 metre of me

One of the best cheap blue fragrances in the game is Pierre Cardin Blue got about 5 or 6 head nodds from women in about a 3 hour time frame I went and bought another bottle!!!💯💯✔️
I already got two of the parfum just great, really enjoy it. Too bad there are not going to have an elixir, but something new is going to come out not in the bleu line.
I’m actually not a fan of BDC. It’s quick to dry down, and it’s sooo soapy/lavendery to me. Shame because I love the brand and I really wanted to like it
You said that you wore Tommy when you were in the 5th grade, that kind of caught my attention because I have a grandson in the 5th grade. I started looking at Tommy for him and found Man of Tom by Dua Fragrances, it is suppose to be a copy of the 1995 Tommy. I thought you might like to know, it might be better than the Montale.

I used it with a suit and i felt 100% like i was going to work in my office wich is not something i wanted...i feel like this fragrance is way too serious as a blue type of scent that should be "generic" "fresh" and so on..
i love this fragrance to me is something really close to perfection but at the same time i find it stodgy, pretty weird honestly, let me know if you agree ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Sampled both the parfum and the EDP recently. I can't split them but I'm definitely going to purchase one this year... I may just sample a few more times 😜

this video is triggering for those who cant afford to own the parfum version, especially the ones who lie to themselves by acting and saying they " prefer" the edt because they couldnt afford the best concentration ( parfum) which is the best smelling, longer lasting, sexiest, bold, mass appealing of the line
What do you mean? The price difference isn't that big between EDP and Parfum, where I bought it, the parfum cost $15 more than the EDP.
Personally much prefer the EDT over the Parfum, they're all good though

Bleu de Chanel parfum it is a decent flanker in my opinion. I had a bottle a few years ago of it it was really nice but I think in my personal hint I still prefer the original

I dig BDC Parfum but it does remind me of some of the RL Polo Blue Flankers at least in the Opening but the Drydown is where it Shines the best imho.
Movers took my Dad's bottle of BDC so I gave him mine. Definitely missing it. Will be replacing it soon.
I persnally can't get along with Bleu de Chanel, I haven't smelled the Parfum yet or maybe I did and don't remember 🤔😀 But the EdT and EdP are just to clean and steril for my taste not exciting and interesting enough for me. They aren't bad, but they are so clean and steril, kinda boring especially when you compare it to other fragrances or even just fresh and blue fragrances. It doesn't have the spice to fire up the desire, it doesn't have the sweetness to awake seduction - it just too much like a fresh, clean and dry white shirt. Plain and simple, not saying the creation is plain and simple but the smell is very very clean.
Personally not my cup of tea, but love to anyone who loves it 😌

My problem with BDC line is performance , specially parfum. It has the weakest performance of all while it’s the most expensive. BDC EDP not any better. EDT has the best performance in terms of projection and longevity IMO

I've owned the edp for years and recently got the sample of the parfum, they are WAY too similar I don't think it's worth the price difference
Great fragrance. I don’t see any problem with favorites being dethroned and tastes changing over time it’s nothing unusual, acqua essenzialle blue is great and affordable. But BDC is a stud. I remember when Windsor and Cambridge knight was your two favorites for a long while. We need an updated 10 for life Ross.

I find BDC in all forms just too basic and boring these days. There are so many more interesting “blue-ish” options out there at equal or often lesser cost. The YSL Y line, Coach Platinum, High Quality Dupes of Aventus like Afnan Supremacy Silver, or even Versace pour Homme.
Versace pour homme is my #1 favorite fragrance

Not much into blue fragrances but when I went to Macy's and tried out the BdC Parfum, I was quite surprised how good it was. I was seriously thinking about grabbing a bottle but I wasn't sure if it was $160 worthy but it is definitely a very nice blue fragrance.
Picked this up in istanbul airport when I visited last year no regrets at all well worth the slightly higher price 🙌
I tested all three BDC in a store and bought the Parfum because I thought it smelled the best out of the three. But even though it is one of my absolute favourite scents it turned out to be a real let down. It only lasts around 2-3 hours on my skin, then the scent is pretty much completely gone even when smelling the skin up close. The worst performing fragrance in my 20+ fragrance collection (even though it's also the most expensive).
I get 8+ hrs. I work in an open air factory and a female coworker I talk to regularly said wow your cologne smells good and that was at 8 hrs. Didn't even ask her or tell her I had anything on
@@scottyB316 That's strange. Maybe I just have terrible skin chemistry for fragrances. When I spray it on my clothes it stays for 8+ hours but on skin max 3.

Duas poseidon cologne trumps BDC by a bit for me, id give that 10/10. Id give BDC second best bleu frag lol. Actually tied 2nd with Sauvage Parfum

I have the EDP holy trinity in Sauvage,BDC,YSL Y but once I finish any of those bottles I will replace with the Parfum versions just to experience something new, but similar.

I concur.
I never gave it a true wearing. I dobt like bdc edt or edp. Openings are okay but the rest... just no. Parfum has that thick blue almost pen inky smell without everything that bothered me. A masterliece that blows sauvage edp or parfum out of the water. Smell, longevity... I am okay with subtle projection as it lasts and projects in summer abd in winter in the office everyone can smell you hen you move.

DUA has a phenomenal clone/interpretation of this fragrance. Never smelled the original.
Good to hear. Mine is actually delivering today. I had talked the counter lady into a bag full of BDC Parfum samples last year and for the last few months I have been debating on a full bottle. Actually had in my hands a few times then put it back. I had been wanting to try dua for awhile, actually have many other clones, but not Dua, then I saw the Bleu da Dua Attar and figured that is as big a test as anything as a few houses have come semi similar to BDC edt smell but nothing close to edp or parfum.

if you've never smelled the original how would you know it's a phenomenal clone? also I find that most clones especially Dua are only 70-80% similar, you may say 80% similar is good enough but many times it's the remaining 20% that makes all the difference.

BDC parfum is overpriced, does not last as long as other blues and it's a bit overhyped. Personally I think the value for a 100ml bottle should be about $70 retail. It's not bad, but far from the best yo

I sold mine cuz during winter I switch to le lion, as much as BDC is great all year round, I only keep one per house in my collection and le lion is a middle eastern style cold weather masterpiece but I’ll sell it when it’s warm again and get BDC again lol
