- Super Mario Wonder just released and has Mario embarking on a NEW JOURNEY to save the Flower Kingdom! Mario, along with his new friends will face new enemies and new challenges along the way, but most of all they will have a ton of fun doing so!
Mario Wonder is fantastic and easily going to become one of my new favorite games!

10:00 I'm so glad DGR is actually wholesome and not pretending. So many gamers got to piranha plants on parade and chose to fireball the little singing plants with no remorse 😢. The unbridled joy and surprise on his face was exactly how I felt.

I think my favorite new "enemy" that I've seen so far is the hungry, hungry hippo. I love how they're wacky, useful, and adorable. I especially like that they can land upside-down in the holes :)
In case you missed it due to being too good at the game, the goomba also has new animations when getting close to mario, and when actually damaging mario.

Wow after going through half the game with the talking flowers on, the game sounds really lonely without them.

This is like the first time mario got a crouch walk in a 2D game. I remember in mario maker where you had to spam jump in 1 block gaps as super mario.
That hat float mechanic is awesome. I can't wait to see how that plays into levels.

Youre absolutely correct. It brought us WarioWare, now it brought us Wonder. It truly is one of the things they do best and better than anyone else, and I love it
I get wait to get my hands on the physical copy in an hour! I love all the new stuff. I have never been so excited for a mario game since Odyssey.

I kinda see why people loving this game so far. It does have the dkc2 formula somewhat, in a sense that each level brings something new to the table for you to play around with. The designers for this game really put a lot of thoughts into this one.
I pre ordered from Target and unlike usual it was going to be delivered next werk instead of on release date so I canceled and picked it up at WalMart, they had plenty if anyone is looking to pick up a physical copy today. 😁My kids are big fans of your channel!

i havent played a mario game since snes and i legit wanna buy this, it looks so good. i kinda hope they add all of these in the current or a new mario maker game, it looks absolutely insane.

I'm so addicted to this game, it's hands down one of the best Mario games ever!
4 mins in and I'm worried that the sheer speed that the plot just YEETS off to is indicative of falling attention spans.

I'm not really a Mario game enjoyer, I'm more of a Mario content enjoyer, weird I know but that is just how it is. That said, I'm very happy for the game enjoyers. This has got to feel like Christmas day for them.

Wonder gives off vibes as if it is to be treated as Super Mario World 2 (or, 3 I guess, since Yoshi's Island was World 2).
For me, since yoshi island has baby mario, i treat it as prequel instead of sequel. So this is super mario world 2 for me. The bowser floating device at the game intro is also straight up from super mario world final boss.

best mario game in a long time😍
if there's one very quick complaint I have so far is the levels definitely feel more linear cause the main collectables don't require any exploration
I'm at world 3 right now and so far that only I would change are that the bosses being more of a variety like the in the first New Super Mario Bros game.
(Technical Spoilers. read at your own expense)
Mechanics look pretty smooth for most games.
Graphics look very good for the context of super mario bros. (its not going to be a xeno)
The story of super mario bros is generally light hearted, but this is taking it even more light than it typically goes. My only problem with that in particular is the story can be too hard to take seriously if its too light hearted and this suffers from that a little bit, however, thats only a minor thing because this game isn't story based and is instead more mechanic based
For anyone wondering if you'd like this game if you like serious RPGs this might not be for you because of its light hearted nature due to RPGs having stories driven by dark concepts.
If you are looking for something that you wont be required to think and you can just have a relaxing time laughing at whatever happens with an occasional challenge then this would likely be perfect.
First Impression rating this is the perfect setup for exactly the kind of experience they were shooting for.
